An idle RPG-style game with a RISK-style skill tree.

Each skill increases different stats, changing the way Umon looks and each level increases your rank. Villagers get progressively harder to scare, better, faster, stronger.

If all else fails, grind to the MAX.



Apologies for the unfinishedness - we may have bitten off more than we can chew :/

Sorry, we didn't have time to make a tutorial! You'll need to increase a skill (start with the one that is cheapest - "0") before Umon is strong enough to scare a villager :}

I had a lot of fun with this game, the graphics are awesome and it was fun to get progressively more powerful. The late game got a bit too grindy though, I kept on running past all of the villagers :P

Whoops! Meant to say, there's a slight strategy when levelling up. Hint - do it *just* before Umon almost dies.

Ah this is brilliant. Really interesting twist on the cookie clicker thing! The "water closet" thing started to drive me a bit mad when the humans got powerful enough that I could only kill one human inbetween deaths. Maybe I put too much money in the wrong things :) The art and sound are just amazing. Love it!

This game probably had me at the CRT fisheye effect. XD

Only two gripes: the "healing" downtime between attacks gets absurdly long the more HP you have, and there doesn't seem to be that much relation between the upgrades I buy and the monster's appearance.

Ryusul, sorry about that! We should probably add a button mash or quicktime mini game during health regeneration :}

Also ran out of steam and time before I could add more monster costumes. One day I'll get a hang of this animating sprite thing!

LIked the flow of this game. It is addictive to some point. Add more choices would a great benefit to this game i think.

I really like the pixelart it looks really nice. Is intended that the level of skill X gets reset to 0 when you unlock a new one? It felt like this bug gave me an unfair advantage and I was able to make my monster a savage killer too soon.

A fun game, good work! :D

@smotko, thanks so much for the feedback! Sorry, we should have been more clear about that aspect. If you've ever played Risk (originally a board game), this is based loosely on part of the rules when you conquer a territory on a map :}

Simple but effective idea! Very easy, but amusing, and great graphics!.

Maybe a bit difficult to read the state texts on the left and watching your monster work while you upgrade it constantly, but the all of those things adds value to the whole visual experience.

Awesome concept! I think the fundamental design of the experience tree is very clever. I never really felt challenged by the game though - maybe a dash more risk would have made the reward even sweeter? Good job though :)

Really fantastic idle RPG. Graphics are excellent. Not usually my cup of tea, but I enjoyed this one. I can see a mobile future for it, if it was expanded some more.

Nice work! The skill tree is a nice addition to the auto-attacking idle game. I love the recovery in the bathroom with the newspaper. Art looks great, sound is pretty good. You might include a mute option though, since the sound can get a little abrasive when you leave the game running to build up gold.

It took me a while to figure out how to unlock the next skill, and resetting the previous skill meant a bunch more clicking as soon as you upgrade.

I think there's a bug where Umon moves to the right with each attack, so late in the game, he hits the right side of the screen and goes to recover in the bathroom before he's fought all the villagers. But it's good up to that point. I got to rank 51, and because of that lost gold, the villagers are now stronger than Umon and I can't afford any more upgrades.

This is a very interesting game. At first I didn't know what to do but I figured it out. It reminds me of one of those cookie-clicker type games except that you get to see some neat fighting animations at the top of the screen. I love the upgrade system and would love to see those upgrades visually change the monster. That would be top notch. Great graphics and I especially like how the screen looks like an old CRT monitor. I enjoyed it.

@aprotasenya Yikes! It shouldn't take that long to load :} What browser/OS are you on? We've only tested it on Chrome and Firefox (Linux). At the most, about 3 minutes.

I'm not certain I completely understood the risk system, but I was able to grind and max out the upgrades! I think this is a great start to a game, this was fun!

This is the best game I've played from this game jam! While it's not too innovative or funny, it has just enough to not make it dull. The fun and theme are good, but they could be improved by adding more variety on the top section. I got stuck around rank 51, where the grind became almost impossible. The graphics and mood of the game are brilliant! Would buy.

Hey @Jupiter_Hadley, thanks for playing! Sorry we weren't clear about the popups! You had to click the numbers and then move to the popup to click the upgrades. There's a few options on the popups so it wasn't just a simple click to upgrade.

We would have made a tutorial but there wasn't time. Also, we're not big fans of tutorials and much rather prefer people explore the interface so your video was very helpful, thank you!!

Oh one more thing, the popup isn't supposed to be where it is now but closer to the skill button so you didn't have to move too far to upgrade. We just ran out of time :/

Takes some time for understanding how to play, but it's possible. Then, a very nice iddle game. ^^

I don't understand why call it "RPG". :)

Woah, very interesting upgrade tree mechanic! Unfortunately, by the end of the game Umon jumps so far to the right, that he ends up in the bathroom and loses a lot of gold per fight :(
