made by josher for Ludum Dare 49 (JAM)

This is a little game inspired by Tetris, and the aim of the game is to stack as many blocks as possible! Good luck, and have fun. This isn't my first jam, but its my first Ludum Dare!

Most assets were made by Kenney (https://kenney.nl/assets) the blocks were modelled by me!unknown.png

The artwork is neat and gameplay is cool. However, there is a problem that you will lose the game immediately after restart.

Perfect hit in the theme. Good and understandable idea, nice graphic forms and name of the game) The only things which I would like are sound and the ability to accelerate fall of the blocks

Dont know how my tower fell : 10 out of 10 would build tower again. Nice game. Missing the music for the long stacking sessions.

Pretty fun game. But I wish there was more sound.

Congrats for your respect of the theme. The art are very simple, but very nice. I found a little bug, pressing the restart button make you instantly lose the game :/

Nevermind, really nice and funny game ;)

Love this game, the soft colors and simple shapes create such a pleasing aesthetic, and the high friction shapes allow for some interesting strategy, and thrilling recoveries.

I also experienced the 'restart' bug, and wondered about what lovely music might best accompany this game.
Awesome job thought, this is such a fun entry.

Had an interesting tower where the bottom slipped out from beneath me haha

Thanks to everyone for their great feedback!
I will sort the restart bug, and the platform bug, and I'll be sure to add some nice music to it. Keep an eye out for a post-jam version sometime in the future!
Thanks again!

The graphic is simple but effective for this gameplay, and I see it well on mobile. Just be careful to give the perfect feedback for controls.
Besides the lack of sound and the restart bug, this game have a cool mechanic that can be improved in multiple ways, maybe adding multiple adjacent platforms to manage. It's up to your creativity!

186! Pretty proud of that! Didn't encounter any bugs, so great job on the polish. Adding in some sound effects and music would have been ideal, but for a solo jam you did good work!

I like the game. Simple and good. Wish I could move camera vertical :)

Decent game, didn't really have any problems with it and the tower felt fairly solid for the most part, unlike a lot of physics games where everything feels far too wobbly. Good job!

Very nice! The pastel+low poly art style is so lovely. As others have pointed out there's the restart bug, but it really is no issue as you can just restart the whole game. Some nice relaxing music would be nice. It also fits the theme really nicely in a way that I haven't seen anyone else do yet :).

Nice simple graphics style! The game fits the theme very well and is enjoyable to play for a while. One thing I was expecting was to be able to match up entire loops and have them clear from the stack, as you said it was inspired by Tetris. But I don’t know if I was just missing by a small amount, but the pieces never seemed to line up to allow for a full loop to be made. And then a full loop dropped so I assume that the lines don’t clear. Some music would help with the game’s feel, but you removed yourself from that category so that’s fair enough.

@player-2 I kinda completely forgot about the whole line clear thing... but now you mention it thats a great idea! I'll try and include that in the post-jam version if I get time. The reason they don't perfectly line up is a problem with Unity physics and mesh collider generation, but I'm going to try and work out a fix for it. And of course I'll add music, I just ran out of time during the jam.

I really liked this, maybe could try locking the angle of rotation so that the pieces always line up but still very good!

Cool little game, like other have said it would've been nice to have some ambience in the background but I really enjoyed the kind of zen gameplay. Nice job.

I love the minimalist art style, it makes the whole game feel very clean and intuitive! The concept is a fun take on the theme and I think you executed it really well - its really satisfying and the controls feel precise. I think you could have made the blocks have a little lower friction to make the game a little harder (I survived a couple of bad blocks I didn't feel like I really deserved to) but that's ultimately just personal taste and not a big deal at all. Great job!
