It may just be me but WASD did not work for me to move around. It was more like QZSD. Nevertheless, cool game! Love the visuals and sound design on this.

Awesome game!
Nice and polished graphics and menus. The gameplay was fast and chaotic which was fun.
For some weird reason though wasd did not work for me so I had to use the arrows, e, and the mouse, quite the challenging control-scheme. And the screen-shake, although adding a lot of "feel" was a bit high in my taste, maybe a slider to reduce it would be nice (but then again, it is a jam, who has time for settings :))

The sound was fitting, high tempo and matched the countdown which tied it in very well.

Very well done! Nice game!

The game looks good but I could not play because I use wasd keyboard.

Loved the concept! Had a lot of fun. Arts are great, sound is great, it's really fun and it goes perfectly with the theme.

I have no complaints, congrats!

Sorry we forgot to make the WASD key default again at the end :/
you can alt + shift to have WASD placement (don't forgot to alt shift after the game) or just use arrow key !
Thanks for all of your feedback :D

Overall, the game was really polished. The graphics on this are insane, as well as the sound design. It is a little confusing initially what each portal does, as there are quite a few and the tutorial kind of just mentions them. The main issue, that other people have brought up, is the controls. WASD simply do not work, at least W and A don't. Those keys were for some reason mapped to Q and Z which made it very awkward to play. Even using the arrow keys wasn't much better, because then my hand had to jump to the E button. The effects were really good, though a bit overbearing and distracting at times. Still, this is a really solid game and were those issues to be fixed, would be a much better experience.

Game is really good. Only thing is that some of the spawned items in combination are very tricky to get out in a way that doesn't feel fair. Also I can't seem to get WASD to work, even trying the alt+shift trick. Besides that, the art was on point, audio was good except for a few of the "gross" sound effects (but that might just be my personal opinion), and the gameplay was very fun and chaotic.

Really ambitious but also really confusing. The graphics and audio are on point, there is definitely a vibe of a situation rapidly spiraling out of control...I just wish I had a better sense of what I was supposed to be doing other than "run to nearest portal, then press E." It's hard to get a sense of what, if any, kind of strategy is required.

It's also a bit frustrating that the controls - the most important part of the experience - don't work as listed in the actual release. Side note: is there any reason at all the game maps one input to "left click"? The use of mouse controls for this one purpose seems really counterintuitive.

Game was waaay slower than it probably should be. Seems there's a lot of framerate dependent code.
Was kinda clueless but still enjoyed the whacky situation xd

The game looks really really nice and the comments make it sound worth checking out, but my Windows is sure it contains a virus :frowning:

@jnur Weird, someone else got something similar but I dunno why it happens, the only external assets we used to make this game were some props and the sounds / music, everything else was made during the LD, and it would be strange to have a virus inside an asset pack / sound bank :/

@moandor Yeah, that's really unfortunate. Can't really help you more in debugging that, I just got that dialog and no additional info

Interesting entry, really like the chaos, i like chaotic games that throw the things on you. Well i even made a game with the same concept! I don't know if its my computer but the performance seems to be a bit slow and jarring

Very polished game, quite chaotic. There wasn't much point to me kicking anything so I just ran around to collect portals. It was quite fun and could be quite addictive. Good job

Really nice game ! Felt pretty fun and entertaining to play. The idea works really well for a game jam and I wish there were different levels to make it more rewarding. Overall, gameplay, sounds and graphics are awesome !

This was a lot of fun! I wish I knew the goal was to survive as long as possible while playing. I was looking for some sort of indication of score, and I'm glad the game does have some sort of point system, but I think the timer should be on display while playing the game so you can see how close you are to beating your personal best.

(Also just a heads up, you spelled "lose" incorrectly on the failure screen)

Nice game!

You also made a game with portals 😃
That was fun but really hectic, I didn't make it in time to next portal and also it seems there was a delay to time addition, so when I activated a portal, time still ran out.

Anyway, good looking game, music and effects built up the tension atmosphere :)

@100th_coin We had a score system in mind at the beggining but we didn't had the time to make it ^^ didn't noticed the misspelled word, thanks !

@tomssuli Yeah, Actually the timer is incremented at the destruction of the portal and not at is activation, tiny error that we will fix if we come back into the game one day :) thanks for your feedback !

The game was fun. It was a little unclear on how much time each portal was giving me, but overall it was a good experience.

Wow, that was my unstablest experience here yet
Very good and polished game! Like, wow. The VFX and SFX are good, they make the shakes and kicks feel very real and juicy. The rhythm is cool. Overall, the game feels very finished although it's based on a complex concept. Congrats.
And the boss is the best idea omg. Sooo annoying, and their face is perfect.
I'm an artist so I'm just going to make a little comment on the graphics (and I do love them, everything stands out clearly and the accumulation works very well, and they're very detailed), which is that when you make a pixel-art game, it's preferable to have a constant pixel size for all the sprites, it makes the scene seem more coherent (I think some monsters, and the character, have smaller pixels than the rest).
Thanks for the experience :smile_cat: and congrats, really.

I love how quickly everything resolved into chaos :)

Great graphic, nice music and sound effects, as well as cool idea for a game. Good job!

The gameplay felt quite chaotic, but at the same time it didn't feel like it was necessary to really interact with a lot of the gameplay elements. You could mostly just ignore enemies/obstacles, and I didn't really understand what the pieces of furniture (? shelves and such) were supposed to do?
The screenshake towards the end was a bit too much, made me dizzy.
Overall a really good entry though, I especially like the graphics.

Really like the graphics of the game - lots of great assets that went together super well - was a real treat when combined with the chaotic gameplay which basically chucked a ton of stuff on the screen.

The chaotic vibe of the game was done super well with everything getting super cluttered as the game went on, which all seems to affect you in tons of random ways (eg the enemies just all running around and the random debuffs that get applied when you run over the wrong things) and the oh no moment every time you trigger the bosses messages (love that).

My main issues were probably that I got stuck in the obstacles sometimes in a few playthroughs (can't move), along with the gameplay loop seemingly being almost completely chasing portals, as there seemed to be little reason to interact with obstacles/enemies apart from the occasional laser.

Overall a very fun and chaotic playthrough though!
