Skeleton Crew by ABRDs

[raw]
made by ABRDs for Ludum Dare 49 (COMPO)

NOTE: Because of the rushed nature of the final product, I know there are some communication issues with tasks. Here is a cheat sheet:

Floor 1: Align both stations to centre the crosshairs

Floor 2: Match Numbers at both stations to displayed value

Floor 3: Drag Sliders down until bar is full

Floor 4: Reset Breakers, user generator in centre, pressing space until light turns green

this game is relentless, although i found it hard to figure out what you need to do in some of the tasks, once you get a hang of it the game gets really good, i found a little glitch with the walking animation if you press "A" and "D" multiple times.

@ratogodoy I ended up adding a cheat sheet at the top of the description. There was definitely not enough focus given to the pacing, but I appreciate the feedback!

@abrds when i said relentless i wasn't criticizing it, it actually makes the game quite challenging in a good way

I guess I'll be the first one that will mention that your game looks like sus amogus haha funi.

Anyway, memes aside, I really liked how you implemented ladders in this. Sadly, the tasks were a little too cryptic, would've appreciated a little more clarity in how to figure them out. Might go at it again with the cheat sheet, I think it has some potential :)

i dont think climbing the ladder needed the a and d alteration. it felt weird. the game felt pretty fun to play, and it took some tinkering to figure out what to do. but was a good fun experience overall.

Ladder climbing felt a bit weird, but the rest of the gameplay was pretty interesting. I also appreciate the cheat sheet at the top. The game feels like it should be pretty innovative but I just got stuck my first few times I tried

Great idea. I actually like the ladder climbing, because it feels more like work and makes decisions more important when you need to switch between floors.

The graphics are so beautiful. The movement controls are so fun! climbing the ladders is fun (and particularly innovative and it feels like you are actually climbing). sliding the poles is fun. walking is fun because of the animation. its so fantastic. I personally wasnt great at the minigames but they did a great job of capturing the theme. this is a great game overall with wonderful aesthetic. Nice work!
