Sagittarius A* Defence by Jellybean

[raw]
made by Jellybean for Ludum Dare 49 (COMPO)

Sagittarius A* is going to collapse and Earth will fall to the Nozick inside

You alone can stand between the Jentham cult and their evil plot to hasten its collapse

Delay the collapse by fragging their ships and increasing the black holes' mass, but collect enough scraps to power your nanobots by pressing E

You can use these to repair or rebuild your ship if you take too much damage

Press W to activate thrusters and LMB to aim and fire spacegame2.png

charming game, i got a crash when my ship was pushed towards the blackhole by one of the enemy stars, but the circumstances to replicate this glitch are probably quite rare, i just got unlucky

Sweet and simple! Would have liked more mechanics around the black hole like it affecting your ship and letting you curve your shots. The player ship could also use more momentum overall for strafing goodness :)

@ratogodoy actually that crash occurs everytime the game finishes! but only in the web version, I think it's because something in the script that holds the score wants to access an object that's not in the scene now

@jellybean hahahaha indeed, i noticed that on my second play-through, you should do the good old "wing commander" strategy and find a way to make the error message say "thank you for playing", since it happens when you close the game anyways

I got a similar javascript error to the above.

For a space game, I'm surprised how much fiction/viscosity the ship physics have -- it feels like there should have been more momentum.

Controls are a little wonky but not bad, I did crash and get an error when I lost though.

This was a fun game! I wish there was a way I could hold the position of the ship while aiming, but otherwise I had no issues

Very fun game, ended up playing multiple times. Very simple yet addictive, I like it! Great music and sound, too

Okay, the game has some issues, but the idea okay, and I overall had fun playing it.

I got the same stack trace related to the black hole. Pretty entertaining once I got a hang of the controls though.

Very Fun! I loved the way the graphics were so nostalgic. I really liked the ships and its controls, and yes I too got the stack error quite a few times. Oh and audio was great too!

Quite a fun game to play! The Schrodinger's machine was also a clever mechanic to have! Especially combined with the ability to respawn so you can gamble on your chance to live even if you don't have enough scrap.

I wanted to mention the bug when you die, but seems like it's a known issue already
