The (Un)Stable Tortoise and the Hare by Noah Wizard

Screenshot 2021-10-04 1412144564.jpg I'm about a week into doing Unity tutorials in earnest, and the only thing I know how to do is make a clicking game from this week's tutorial.

The challenge was: how do I make a clicking game about instability?

I've felt unstable a lot in my life; very difficult to keep up with the people who seem to zoom along and meet all of their life's milestones. That's why I made the theme Tortoise and the Hare.

There are in-game instructions, but to move the Tortoise forward, repeatedly click the briefcase. Then when the Inner Demons show up, click them repeatedly to banish them. Click the self-care icons to eventually level up your click damage.

Hey, I enjoyed playing your game (and I won yay), and I liked how you turned the concept of "feeling unstable in life" into this game with the self-care items and demons.

It was a lot of clicks! I think you managed to convey your message very well, life is hard but we have to deal with our problems and move on. Seeing as how you managed to make a game with what little you saw in a tutorial, I think you might like to try Godot https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/getting_started/step_by_step/your_first_game.html
Keep doing games!
