I love the pacman and mario references! The music is an absolute bop, and I love the use of (what I assume is) the NES Audio Chip's noise channel. This took me way to long, but I stuck with it!

This was a ton of fun! Great work!

Such a well polished game, found zero bugs and kind of a unique take on a platformer! I also made a drag and shoot game where you can only shoot when grounded, it's good to see another one of us. (You're game is way prettier) Well done sir.

I couldn't figure out how to win after I got to (what looked like) the top, but I still had a lot of fun playing! The audio and visuals were excellent.

Overall a very solid game, especially the graphics and pacman reference :D the only thing i would love to see in the game is a minimap on the top right to help the player memorize where the platforms are located and help them measure where they should launch themselves without falling further down towards the starting point.

Little did I know, the unstable one was ME! Sadly, I'll need some time to cool off before I replay this for a better time, as finishing at all made me feel pretty legendary. That said, the aesthetics here are awesome, and the music kept me from raging too much. while I'm at it, props for having boosters down lanes that lead back to the start, so hitting them isn't as painful. Overall of course, any criticism I might level at this game would have to be balanced by "What do you expect? It's pinball!", and you captured the charm of pinball very well.

@100th-coin Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed the game!

@osh-studio Thank you! Just checked out your game as well, absolutely rad!

@jaker Appreciate the feedback! The winning area is to the right. You have to go all the way up, then fall back down the shooter lane (the part where you shoot the pinball out of on a physical machine). Gotta bring Pinny home haha

@bgdc Noted, we might flesh this out later, so we'll keep this in mind if/when we do. Thanks for the feedback :D Also, your game is super beautiful!

@mistercheezymoon Haha, I hope the rage was balanced out enough. Thanks so much for giving it a go, and great job completing the game!

Great one, actually misses a scoring system or a final objective. But it is good looking and brings a good mood when playing it! Good job !

@tensoplast01 Thanks for playing! There is actually a final object and scoring system. The goal is to get back into the shooter lane by going to the top and shooting yourself to the right. Once you've made it, the game tracks three methods of scoring: total time to beat, split time (time since the last reset), and total score (how many points you got by hitting different objects)

I'm not the biggest fan of pinball games, but I enjoyed it. The graphics are amazing and all the retro video game stuff is really cool. Also I respect the pun name so much

@slimmerburger Thank you! Happy that you could enjoy it.

@cabbageslices thank you so much! Appreciate it a ton :)

@yogurtthehorse thank you! Unfortunately we can not test the mac build so it would just be a build and hope it works.

Wow, really cool presentation and polish on this game! As has been said, it captures the essence of pinball very well -- I just wish I was any good at pinball. The music is really charming. The one critique I would have is a better way to gauge where you're going, though maybe that ties into the whole instability. Pushing something this polished out in three days is amazing!

Wow. This is the coolest looking game I've seen so far. Cyber/Outrun aesthetics are awesome! I like the innovative idea of like "reverse pinball" too!

A good looking game with nice audio as well. Both relaxing and frustrating at different times, when I fell from high up all the way down without being able to do anything, just watching, it reminded me of Getting Over It  cool to see a pinball entry, good job!

This was a pretty fun, addictive game. I just wish a few things happened. It felt like I didn't have enough control, leading to some frustration. Some bullet time/leniency towards the player would have massively helped. Also, I wasn't sure if I beat it or not... I made it through the top, but there wasn't really any "win" screens or anything.

The visuals and music were super high quality though.
FlyWolfe
09. Oct 2021 · 01:06 UTC
@mateu Thanks for playing! So, to win the game, you need to get to the op, and then all the way to the right. It's essentially reverse pinball. Bring the pinball back to the shooter lane where it normally comes out of. Some others have had an issue noticing that as well, so we should have put an indicator to clarify where you're supposed to go.

The bullet time idea is great, though! Unfortunately, we hadn't thought of that, but I'm glad you enjoyed the game otherwise :)

@mateu Yeah, sorry for the confusion there, we'll definitely update that after the rating period is up. But if you end up giving it another shot, feel free to post the time you get! It helps to know how long it's been taking people and how difficult it feels haha ^^

@kwiper Haha, I'm glad you liked it so much! And thanks for the advice! When we update the game after the rating period, we'll absolutely add some kind of indication to show where you're supposed to be heading

@rubentipparach Thank you, I really appreciate it!

@jpatchz Thanks so much! We put a lot of thought into the graphics and the overall feel of the game :)

@deadsunset It makes me really happy to see so many people enjoying the game. Thank you so much for your feedback!

@javicoder Thanks so much, it means a lot :D

@alek-kef Thanks man! I'm glad you had a chance to check it out!

@jake-marks Thanks for checking out the game and streaming it! It was a lot of fun watching along and seeing you guys get to the end :D

@heiach Thanks for playing! Glad it was just the right difficulty. We tried to balance it out a bit so it was a bit rage-inducing, but not too much

@edevjogos Thank you, I appreciate it! We tried to scope down our development this time, so we were able to put more effort into the visuals and overall feel. So, I'm glad that worked :D

@byyiro Ah! Sorry about that! Maybe we can add some features after the jam can be turned on/off to make the game a bit more manageable. I'm glad you liked it, though! Thanks for playing the game!

@jakobthequizguy Awesome! Getting Over It was actually one of our inspirations for the game, so it's cool to see that it has a bit of the same feel to it. Thanks for the feedback! :)

@swiney Wow, that's such high praise! Thank you so much, it really means a lot ^^

@salohcin894 Thank you! It is kind of surprising how challenging it can be on your first play, but I hope it was within reason haha. Thanks for playing :D

@sli Thank you! I'm glad we were able to pull off the dynamic of being chill and challenging

Man, it's hard to go wrong with pinball. It's ace. Great music, satisfying bumps and clicks and dings. Really interesting seeing pinball combined with a platformed. Game was very hard but definitely worth the play. Great work.

What a fun adventure-feeling take on pinball. Impressive 3D art for such a short time, too! Really well executed, the level progression was fun and difficult. My heart really sank when my ball fell all the way to the bottom, just like real pinball, haha. Great work!

Fantastic concept, well executed. I did encounter a bug where sometimes trying to "preload" a shot while still in the air would result in being unable to fling upwards. I really enjoyed playing this one. Thanks for making it!

Great game! I love the simple yet addicting gameplay and the polish that went into the graphics and post processing. It's like Getting Over It but Pinball ^^. The game is a bit on the difficult side but not impossible. Some tiny things like making the ghosts flash or blocks jump a little when hit would have made it even better but thats just nitpicking. Overall awesome game :)

Very well polished entry. Looks good and sounds great! It was a little infuriating because it felt more luck based than anything. Maybe if I could just move the camera up just a touch to plan my next shot better? Also due to the randomness, luckily I did not hit one of the arrows down the last chute that sends you back to the beginning, but if I did, seeing as I had no control whether I did or not I probably would not have attempted it again. good job though!

Very difficult and frustrating, but well worth it! Comparing this to Getting Over it with Bennett Foddy may be cliche at this point, but they are very similar in that progress is difficult and slow, and it's all taken away very quickly. Also similarly, the player is helpless to watch as they fall, minutes of work being erased every second. I think this game is less frustrating because losing progress is sometimes attributable to randomness (rather than sucking at the game), and there are also some rare boosts from the bouncy things

That was fun! I originally missed the "you can jump on platforms" and thought I was stuck once I stopped on one, glad I tried clicking otherwise I would've missed a lot, the game area is much bigger than I thought and it was fun exploring it, trying to get a high score and to the end, although until I got to it I did not think there was an end.
Also great music choice, brought memories back, been so long since I last heard it!
I would've liked to see a bit more juice added tho, and the score made a bit more central, with maybe "+200" popping up on the screen as you win points, things like that. I also mistook the timer for the score at first and was wondering why the hell I was gaining point automatically rather than by hitting things, until I finally looked at the bottom left xD

It took me about 3-4 minutes to realize that there is an end to the game - I thought it is just bouncing around for fun, but then I looked into comment section :P Is there somewhere information about that inside the game? If not then it wasn't obvious to me, that you can end the game. Besides that I have nothing to add except excellent job with the game!

And here is my score:
