Wife Dono.png

Wow! What a life! You get to play as Kouhai, a young serf to the beautiful genius Wife Dono. She loves her experiments, but she also needs her beauty sleep, so she uses the UNSTABLE machine to stretch time and remain forever young while experimenting all she likes. As her assistant, it's up to you to stop the machine from overheating or losing power while she's inside. The consequences of this are so horrific, they cannot be discussed.

TIPS:

Power Crank - You can use the arrow keys or WASD to operate the crank, and it may be faster to use both at the same time.

Puck Cabinet - The Puck cannot destroy Impurities without first ingesting the Pellet. While Impurities exist, the machine will overheat faster.

Coolant Pump - The coolant pump is on the top platform. The only way to use it is to jump up and down on it. 3-5 jumps is recommended, as the only indicator of how hot the machine is is the amount of smoke rising from it. IF YOU SEE FLAMES, 8 JUMPS IS RECOMMENDED.

Ghost Bopper - Time Ghosts are harmless, but they consume energy. There can be infinite ghosts, and the more there are the faster your battery will drop. Take them out as soon as possible.

A = move left

D = move right

SPACE = jump

W = use

X = drop/cancel

Loved the art style. I wish I could use the arrow keys to move and crank instead of wasd only.

Art style is really good. Sometimes it is hard to jump on the platform though (feels like you almost made it, but in really you don't). In general, I had fun with it :thumbsup:

Really great feeling in this! The art is superb and the shotgun is so satisfying ahah x)

Just one thing: the sound when a letter appears is awful, like, I don't know if it's just me (probably), but it explodes my ears. I don't know how to describe the sensation, but well you get the idea.

Other than that it was really great, confusing in the controls as you wanted this to be I think x) The only thing you could have changed I think is the X key. It was really odd to put such a common action on this key.

Finally, it was great to have such a long dialogue. It was not boring or anything ^^

Great work!

The writing was fun too!

Great aesthetic! The use of the color on sprites and fonts, make the UI and the Game World merge in a seamless way.
Though the objective is not very clear, the characters have great appeal. I recommend revising the text font, because it was hard to read in my screen.

Very good game, with great graphics and design.

Really amazing entry but seems to be too difficult.
The graphics and music are outstanding. The intro alone is epic enough
With the gameplay I had some problems. I tried like twenty times but never got even close to finish the game. Most of the time three urgend tasks appeared at the same time and I did not understand how it could be possible to finish all of them. Maybe I did not understand it but it felt more like the game was running too fast. I got really frustrated and stopped playing after ~twenty tries.
The ghost shooting had a really nice feeling though and the tasks were quite innovative.

If the difficulty was a little lower with a better learning curve, the game would be one of my favorites.
The art, the music and sounds, all fit together nicely and the dialogue with wife-dono is really funny and cool made. It also had this funny little edgy fanservice thing in the dialogue, but I am not sure how to feel about that but people might like it.

Overall really good job! If the difficulty is CPU-time related or something or I misunderstood the order of tasks I would be happy to try again and give a higher score!

Loved the artstyle, great work! Finish screen art need to be *cough* more explicit *cough* i think. Execution of idea is just perfect. A little bit of allusions in startup dialog made me smirk)) Thanks for entry!

Really enjoyed the overall presentation of this game! The artstyle, colours, and sound effects all go well together to create a very enjoyable experience.

I will admit that I lost pretty quickly the first few times but once I understood what I was doing it didn't feel too difficult.

Great job on a great game!

Great job! Gameplay-wise, this has been one of my favorites.

I have a few nitpicks - it would have been nice to be able to jump out of the ghost-shooter, like you can jump out of the pacman game. I rarely use "X" when my left hand is doing WASD, so i frequently fumbled around while getting out of the gun.

Jumping was a little finnicky, especially landing on the top pad - maybe that should have been a pass-through floor?

I loved this though. I could see a game of this moving through different labs with different minigames. and the world-building was great. Nice job!

Great game, very juicy! I had a couple of minor bugs (resolution broken on first launch, stuck if you lose the game while mounting the gun) but otherwise had a great time :D Oh and the art and color palette are excellent!
