Bob's Valley by Dejvo

[raw]
made by Dejvo for LD33 (JAM)
You play as Bob.Bob is a monster who has magical stomp power of happiness.
But he can also kill people by touch.
Try tu save as many people as you can and prove that you are NOT the monster.

Controls with w,s,a,d.

The theme didn't really fit me and I was damn lazy.
But Hopefully, you'll enjoyed it. Or at least laugh at it.

for best performance, try to run the 64bit version on Graphics card.

P.S. there is no music despite it saying in the game. don't freak out.

Dejvo, out.

Surprisingly tough, but fun and colourful. I enjoyed squishing the people as much as I enjoyed saving them anyway ;)

Oh my god it is so hard to save all villagers! How do you get over villager's houses without breaking them?

Nice! Controls felt tight, weights and all felt good. Bouncing from villager to villager was... fun. Though I didn't do that. <.<

My kids liked it too!

@mathieu muller it has to be hard. otherwise it would be boring from the start. you get over them by gaining speed and then jumping over them.

Enjoyed it! Nice balance of challenge and fairness, especially thanks to the 'S' key! Some sound would've been nice, but I can hardly talk. Overall it was nice.

One tiny thing is that you mention you have music on your 'info' page, and (super nitpicky) you misspell the url, haha.

This wasn't really a game, but I enjoyed it and its was strangely relaxing. I chose to be a monster, and crushing people felt so good.

Not being a monster is hard. Humans can't understand it :_(.

Funny game!

Saving people is tough, but I guess you have to try hard to prove you're not a monster. ;)
Hitting any wall seems to end the game, and if you keep pressing continue weird things happen. Guess it's a bug?
It's a fun game.

If the game was to deliberately squash the humans I would have enjoyed it better. But still fun.

I liked the take on the theme! The idea of a monster trying NOT to be a monster (but still failing) is funny to me.

The controls were tight and responsive, and I came to really like pushing "S" to stop your left/right movement. Utilizing that ends up being critically important if you actually want to not be the monster.

I really liked this! The concept it great, the tension of wanting to help the people contrasted with the imprecise controls making accidental murders nearly impossible to avoid was great. I loved that you actively are helping these people with your presence, making your rolling through town make sense, and the accidental murder even better. Good job.

Not a bad result. Simplistic, but fun, controls feel smooth and happiness effect looks just right.
