Introduction

Spawn pools will spawn babby gummis. When they grow up, their color will change and they will seek out another pool that matches their new color.

But there are giant ravines in the way! Oh no! Help out the gummis by building bridges so that they can reach the pools.

How to play

Mostly the on-screen help will tell you how to build stuff. How to build bridges:

  1. Press the "Build" button to start build mode
  2. Draw a line between the two Anchors (red spheres) to pick where to build the bridge.
  3. Draw roads segments and struts from the anchors. Blue anchors can be used for additional support. Segments will be tinted red if they are too long to build.

(There is no undo and you can't edit anything after building it. Those features were cut by the department of squishy transportation as the project was projected to go over time.)

The gummis can only walk on road segments, not struts. Try to connect the level so that all pools are reachable!

Note the web build, text doesn't show up in Chrome on mac, try Firefox or the downloadable one.

There are a few other useful keys:

  • Z will pause/resume the simulation. This works in edit bridge mode too but there's no reset so be careful.
  • N will toggle the navmesh display. Not super useful but maybe interesting
  • V will try and reset the bridge velocity if it gets too wild. It doesn't really work too well.

Built using luxe engine.

Note: Source code is not included since Luxe is still in private preview release, but if you have joined the preview feel free to ask me (joeld) on the Luxe discord and I will be happy to give you access to the project sources.

hmm... I'm stumped. Seems like maybe the controls are broken on the html5 port? wasd does nothing and neither does dragging the mouse as far as I can tell. It tells you to drag the anchors but its not clear what those are so not sure if I am missing something or if its broken. Interesting graphics though.

A bit hard to understand how to build the bridges. Trying to connect two points with strut or road, nothing happens. :(

Holy ambitious batman!

I managed to get some bridges down, but navigating was a bit too hard! Overall, a crazy good amount of work.

I failed at building too, both for the web and mac builds.. :/

The 3d models and the overall world looked really neat though (zooming was the only thing I was able to accomplish).

Interesting idea. I managed to build some bridges and the gummies started crossing. Is this the idea? Maybe you should think of little more feedback to the player.

It has potential but I'm pretty confused, the gummis only seem to sometimes move across bridges. Maybe some simpler levels with just 1 bridge to build and then building up from there would be helpful!

This is cool fun little game :D nice work!

Nice idea that you can connect any two points! The bridges seem to glitch a lot, and take down adjacent bridges as well. I could not figure out how to delete or move nodes once they are set. In game control explenation would be nice!
Good job!

Doesn't seem to work on my computer.. WASD and dragging the anchor points do nothing.

the web build didn't work for me in chrome on windows 10 (no ui). but the download worked fine! it seems like i was able to successfully connect all the blob people to eachother.

I like the idea and art. But i had some bugs when built unstable bridges: one disappear, one had crazy animation like convulsing xD

I like the idea, it reminds me a lot of the older Bridge Builder games.

I managed to make it as well, even on web. But I downloaded the desktop to see if there was any audio.
Would enhance the whole experience quite a bit IMO to have a looping background noise.

All in all though, I quite enjoy it.

I really really love the idea.
Unfortunately i kept crashing the game... Idk how but the bridges i built were all really unstable and kept exploding - they stretched and spasmed out until the game just crashed on me.
The simulation is really well done tho - and i really loved the art :)

The art style is very pleasing to the eye and i love how fluid the animation on the little blobs is! The way the bridges snap together feels really well done. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

@yikescloud nice work managing to build a truss bridge and a suspension bridge.

maybe my computer just is unable to handle it, but it was incredibly buggy, for example after building a bridge it expanded and stretched like i'd summoned a demon
but the concept is really cool, i love the idea of a bridge building game where you choose where to build the bridge, i just wish it was a bit more playable

Got the blobs all connected. GAme didn't end though. Is it possible for a bridge to collapse? Becuase a few off my builds were terrible and the bridsges still held together. XD
Fun game i had a good time playing it. Keep it up.

the bridges are definitely unstable however i don't think them phasing out of existence was planned

Interesting concept, well done!, a little hard, the floating bridge and the gummis are funny lol
