Very bizarre haha. The gameplay is almost none-existent but the mood is there and I got a laugh out of it.

I was confused for controls too but eventually figured out it is A/D for move and Z for jump. Simple concept that works well, the game just lacks a bit of polish. Funny game too, this level nearly made me cry

Damn, since @recessive already busted the spoiler, that was probably the best bit, having tried so damn hard to avoid the pills, the revelation of a screen-full was enough to send a sane person over the edge. 10/10

Don't forget to add some screenshots to your game - definitely will get more plays.

I died. Probably needed my pills.

PS. Possibility to restart the game after death would be nice :)

Weeellll, I had to look at the source code to assure, I'm not just to stupid to finish the 3rd level ^^. But I see the door would take me back to the first level so I'm happy :)

Nice little platformer! I missed a replay button but the rest has been done well. The graphic is coherent and stylish and for a first game this is great :)

If you ever make more levels, consider adding some vegetables or healthy stuff to give back some health ^^

Welcome to LD, a neat little platformer. Games with an underlying message are always welcomed. Hope you are doing okey :sweat_smile: As mentioned before, restart would be nice. The graphics were pretty cool. More mechanics next time and you go yourself cool game.

Made me think of "Statue (The Pills Song)" by Smith & Thell.

As you mention it: yes the controlls are very smooth! There are a lot of platformers for this topic but a good half, if not more of them have controls that are not so good.

Yeah, since Mordrick brought it up, the controls *are* really good. It's a shame they don't get used to their full potential in such a short game. I get that's kind of the message of the game, but I feel the impact is a bit lost due to its length

Nice platformer and concept! I enjoyed it a lot! I think you can explore with different effects depending on the pills. One can make you bounce or change your size, even affect gravity.

Controls felt a bit harsh, and the excessive difficulty was a bit surprising. Before seeing the third level, I was a bit frustrated not to be able to regenerate my life. I was thinking I was missing something.

Other than that, the art is cool and the aesthetic is well done.

Deep game about the risks of drug addiction. You'll have to take pills if you want to reach the end of a level, giving you a momentary joy (joy of having completed the level). And as long as you continue you will have no choice except taking more pills, until you'll inevitably die of overdose. And of course, once you're dead, you're just dead, there's no Play Again. The only solution is to resist the temptation and to not play the game and avoid falling into the addiction. At least that's my take of it, maybe I'm overthinking it.
Else, I especially liked the graphics style and the change upon taking a pill, the platformer controls and physics felt good. Some audio could have been nice though, as well as a bit more length (with maybe some more narrative in it)

@vladadamm you got it exactly! I thought it would be funny if the 'you died' button just did nothing when you clicked it (...at 3am the day before submissions were due). I need to practice making cute 8-bit music and sound effects - I have high standards for music so I decided NO MUSIC was better than annoying crunchy sounds. Thanks a lot!
