the red orb add some unstable facotor for the game. it help you refill a little but also cause you hard to controll direction and your speed will randomly become fast or slow.
i was trying to give player two coice:
only white orb: safe and stable, but in someplace it will be hard to reach next orb(only if you remember the way or just reborn)
both white and red orb: more chance to go further but unstable with controll
The unstable orbs were interesting. And it made sense that they added to the uncontrollable state. But I think it would have been more fun to the player if that state, like the light-bar, was something that clearly wore off over time. As it was now it felt like if I got more than one, it was just a matter of waiting for a respawn. Perhaps the bad orbs also could give a bit of light so there's a benefit to them too.
Anyways, nice relaxing game!
the red orb actually give you a little light randomly(sometimes negative) but the value might be too low to see.
I wish I cloud have more time to adjust the value to make the gameplay better ;)
