Fantastic.
My complaints first: the platforming is a bit slippery (especially that moving platform), the sounds are lacking, and the stages can be a bit repetitive.

However!

What this lacks in execution it makes up for in really good design, especially in regards to storytelling with mechanics. Each line of the (well-written)poem is really elegantly represented through the sparse mechanics that govern the game. I especially liked the final screen, on which I truly thought that there was no way to get the key through the door, and the game would end on a sort of cliffhanger-y note where you're never able to get through that door, until I figured out the solution. I'm not sure if I'm interpreting the poem completely correctly, but if I am, my experience with that final screen sums up it's themes very well.

good job!

This was a good puzzle platformer. I like that you made the 'unstable platform' piece the core mechanic of the game, which is not something you see that often.

It's simple but solid. I like the variety of blocks and their accompanying story. The controls were smooth and intuitive. It could use a few more levels using the existing blocks. The game played like a good introduction for the game to come.

I do love this style of pure puzzle-ish platformer. The graphics and audio were simple and clean. I have two mechanical points of feedback that I can give:

1. The inability to jump right as you leave a block's edge is incredibly frustrating. Most games provide a "coyote time" jump that grants another 100ms grace period for jumping. I found myself just unable to jump at times I expected to have control.

2. The distances for jumps sometimes felt annoying or unfair (mostly as a result of the first point). This would likely not need to be changes if (1) were addressed.

Overall, great piece of work! Thanks for making this.

This is a really fun and well thought out puzzle platformer. I'd love to see a little more time put into creating some juice, i.e. momentum, shake etc, plus a bit more ui flair. Otherwise really solid.

Fun little puzzle platformer that manages to introduce new ideas with every level and holds quite a bit of metaphorical meaning to make you think. Well done!

That's as hard as it is fun! :-D
A really good and funny little game that needs some nice graphics to take over the world...

I agree it's a little slippery. But I really enjoy the performance of each sentence with the game mechanism.Nice work.

I liked how the narrative would give an hit to how to approach the next level! The jumping when on the edge of a platform feels unforgiving, maybe a little coyote time (or slightly larger bounding box for the player sprite) would have helped. I also liked how some levels have counterintuitive solutions, very good work!

I enjoyed it a lot, tricky but once you accept that you need to failed first to get the proper answer then it becomes quite zen. Well done! ![Screenshot 2021-10-07 171538.jpg](///raw/181/92/z/47c50.jpg)

Great concept and puzzles. I wish Space was the jump button but life can't be always what we want!

This is a really nice little game with many levels. The blue block was giving me some troubles, but I managed to win anyway.

Nice little game!
I finished it to the end. It was fun to do. The messages in between were sometimes good clues to help how to solve the next level. I would be curious to see how a post-jam version with improved graphics and audio would look like but you did a very good job already as a compo entry 👍

Great game! however I would suggest a grace period for jumping off the edge of a block, it can be a bit frustrating.

That was a brilliant little game, played the whole thing! The idea is fairly simple, but it's really nicely done!
The only thing that I think is missing for me is a bit of air time. For the most part it was fine, but I did find not having air time a bit frustrating in the level where blocks that come back are introduced. Well done though!

An awesome little game! I love the little captions before each stage - it adds a lot to make each stage a bit more interesting. The gameplay was a bit slippery at times, but still a fun time. Nice job!
