Scootin’ Cubes by David Hunter

[raw]
made by David Hunter for Ludum Dare 49 (COMPO)

Speed your cubes along this specially designed track-way, but beware not all tracks will support your cube. You will need to match the colour of your cube to the track in order to pass. Red to red and blue to blue. To make it harder you cube can change colour.

Reminds me of SkyRoads. Nice idea with the color switching.

A unique game but If I hold down a or d for a little bit too long I fall off.
but if you where to polish the controls a bit more, It would be a good game.

The color matching was a nice twist on the formula! Well done! :)

a fun little game, only issue i found was overshooting the lanes as the game detected a long keypress.

It looks fun to me! The control is tricky, but I guess that how the unstable goes right? I have to press left and right really carefully to avoid lousy manipulation, which suits the theme. Good Job!

Really nice game! The difficulty was perfectly balanced for someone like me. A bit too hard and frustrating at the start and then suddenly you get the hang of it and you're zooming along and feel that the level was too short. Great game!

Simple concept, but pretty fun! it has a rhythm game feel after a while. I think the color switching mechanic is pretty novel, well done!

Good mechanic. Not sure if it mathces the theme, but we definetly need more levels!

Nice tricks! It does get easy after you fail on them for the first time. Was expecting more levels afterwards but It just repeats.

The concept is good ! It is sad that you could not implement other levels. Good entry overall !

A bit on the shorter side, but still a solid submission. Maybe it's just the web version, but there don't seem to be any sound effects or music, which would have really added to the overall atmosphere.

Simple and interesting game. It is a pity that it is short. I would like to play a little more

I like the idea. I ended up skipping the tutorial at first, which was a mistake because I spent some time at the beginning thinking that I needed to jump between beams and the jump was really hard to judge when jumping between beams, but that's on me for not checking out the tutorial first :)

It would be cool to see this idea expanded to more complex levels in the future. Nice work!

Very neat mechanic! The tutorial is also superb, not only for compo standards but it is just plain good by retail standards too!

I second @sploky's control issue, it seems I really have to do the lightest fastest feather-touch on the directional keys or it will jump 2 lanes at once and possibly fall out of the map.
