Whew! Just uploaded the updated version on the deadline. I've added a story comic and some basic comic style instructions. If anyone doesn't understand just let me know

This game was really funny! I loved the sound effects did you make them?

Yeah I made all the sound effects on my phone lol. It was pretty rushed

Nice entry! The premise and controls were hilarious (We had similar ideas around "unstable"). I saved all the friends!

Also - was this made in Multimedia/Clickteam Fusion? I recognize the lightning icon.

(and reminder that including source code/engine file is required for Compo!)

I liked how each level became a memory game. I was always trying to move through the level by cycling through each option as fast as possible. I think the biggest improvement can be made with the level design. If the obstacles lined up with the options better, the game could have a really cool flow to it (instead of having to cycle through most of the options to proceed).

@jeremy-ryan thanks! Yeah I made it in Clickteam Fusion, I didn’t make the COMPO deadline so I didn’t bother posting the source stuff. Am I supposed to anyway?

@rumiaobsessed I’m glad you liked it! I’m planning on making several different modes post Jam and one would have multiple ways to solve a level so you can cycle through or use a current action, or something like that lol

@monkeyfox My bad! I misread it as a Compo submission. If you submit to the Jam you don't have to (although you can if you want).

Nice idea! It felt a little chaotic at times, but I really enjoyed the premise and think it has a lot of potential. Also, I really like the horse haha

A horsey shoutout :horse: Very unstable, indeed! I actually like the graphics, especially the crazy eyes. I love and hate at the same time how the horse slides off the edges of crates. Pretty hardcore. Good job :)

actually a really fun experience once you get used to the controls. the sound effects make all 3 actions really satisfying and i could honestly just spam the spacebar to hear the horse go through all the sounds all day lol. plus the physics of the body and the facial and leg animations are actually really well done. just curious how did you do all of that in ctf 2.5?? honestly impressed. good job! :>

@paperaeroplane555 Thanks 😊. I’d post the source file but I wasn’t thinking and already made some changes to it for the post jam version. I can make it available after the jam so that there’s no confusion with the jam version. CTF is actually good for making stuff quickly, when you get into scoping there starts to be some problems lol

"Hello, friend!" That was a fun, silly game! In some of the later levels I resorted to mashing the action button to try to get through some areas. The music was light and fit the tone of the game. And the art gave me chuckle. Nicely done!

This game is so funny, weird and really fun. The unique controls really make you think! It feels like a flash game I'd find on some weird website when I was a kid. I've seen a lot of horse game submissions but I think this one is my favourite.

Amazing use of the unstable theme.
All the different parts of the game come together nicely for a hilarious and fun experience.
This is the type of really creative and interesting games that I look forward to playing from the game jams.

Well, the horse feels janky, which definitely fits the theme alright. I love the sound effects here, you sure kicked my ass in terms of phone voice recordings. The graphics were also pretty damn good for just a few days.

I was able to understand the game pretty well, even though I played the earlier version without the comic. And that ending screen wasn't what I would've expected; and I said that in a good way.

@koalaknight Thank you! I’m happy that my sense of silly humour is appreciated
@ronanrory thanks for playing! I plan on adding a comic style ending for the post jam version

A horse is a horse, of course of course. And playing this horse, through this digital course, made me hoarse. Maybe you would be willing to post the source? That would be cool, but dont feel forced.

@almightyzentaco I guess I should post the source, a few people have asked. I don’t think it’s changed too much from the jam version

Hilarious game! I had more fun with it than I anticipated. Very good game design actually. Showing the player the next action is a clever decision, as not doing so would be frustrating.
Congratulations!
