GLASSCANNON by Michael Grieshofer

You are the proud owner of a GLASSCANNON™ . A powerful device for killing stuff. But be careful. One bullet is enough to shatter the gun and then you would have to buy a new one. (Or you could also repair it yourself I guess.)

You have 3 heavy cannonballs that serve as ammunition. If you fired all of them you need to buy new ones. (Or you could also pick them back up I guess.)

And now it's your turn to kill everything that moves. ( And hopefully you don't break your expensive GLASSCANNON™. )

I had quite the fun while it lasted. I enjoyed ricocheting the cannon balls off the wall to the enemies.

Good gameplay and mechanics. I was a little confused even when I burst myself

Unique idea that was well executed, I found it fairly challenging.

Real fun little game! There are some neat mechanics in there with the breaking gun, some ball-trick. Did get caught outside a 'chained' room once, I think I triggered it and went out too fast.
(also add somewhere in your description that awsd moves - initially I thought that I was a stationary gun)

The idea with the physics in play are done really well and add a lot to this game and the idea of having to re-collect your weapon to be able to use it made things more fun and add a challenge, really liked the bullets having their own collision, the cute visuals and music increase when in danger.
nicely done.

That was a really cool idea! The balance of attacking and being safe with your cannon was well done. I liked the level design and the enemy variation. Sucking back in your cannon balls was a neat mechanic, reminds me of the "you only have one" theme from a while ago. I thought the hitboxes could have been tweaked a bit - I often found myself not hitting when I thought I did hit an enemy (especially the squares - do they have circular hit boxes?), and getting hit when I thought I was safe. A map on the second level would have been good too. Apart from that it was great, I beat both levels :)

@natpat Thanks for the comment. The hitboxes on the brick enemies are indeed circles because I just copied and pasted the movement from the eye enemies including the hitbox and forgot to change it to a square.
I plan on releasing a better version of the game after the rating period is over were I will fix some bugs and design problems. I can also add a map.

very fun game, but at one point i just lost a cannonball, it disappeared into the ether or something, but then it magically came back later which was good.

and i also got lost a little in the second level, which is probably due to with the metroidvania-esque level design, but lack of map or visual variation in areas

Really fun game! I love the aesthetics and it felt great to play. It did irk me that it wasn't quite 16:9, though ;)

Good job!
