Into the Forest: Out of Your Mind by brethudson

made by brethudson for Ludum Dare 49 (JAM)

Be careful, weary traveler, for this forest is known for playing tricks on the mind.

The further into the forest you venture, the more likelihood there is of you seeing a different type of enemy than the one you're fighting. If so, use your bestiary and identification techniques to narrow down which of the forest's beasts you're battling.

I enjoyed playing your game. Cool pixel art and music.
Only one thing: The blue background moving made me a bit dizzy :D

The background was quite distracting, but the game was great! Loved all the options that I was offered, but I wish the different actions had different effects on the enemies. At times the gameplay felt a bit repetitive, but I think the graphic design and audio were top-notch!

A cute game! The art is really adorable! I liked that you could drag around all the windows. :D I didnt really understand the not-fighting mechanics, it appeared to me that they dont really do anything... Overall quite nice. :) <3

Nice little game, not sure what the identify actions are supposed to do though. Seems like most monsters take fire damage, some a little poison, and nearly none take earth damage. I tried different actions to see what they were weak against but couldn't really figure it out. Maybe having an explanation on that or a more obvious way of telling would be nice.
