This game reminds me of a game I played many years ago, and which I liked for this idea of having one room, that changes only slightly between levels.

It is very cool, and I like the music a lot. I am not sure, if I hit the end there, but I couldn't figure out how to continue after I got kicked out of the door several times.

Still, nice mork!

Wow! Really - I haven't expected that. This belongs to the best games I've played so far. It looks so simple but the mechanics are really clever.

The only thing you could improve is to somehow explain the controls in the game as well (so that one doesn't have to read the itch-page). But besides that: really good job!

@duckonaut Ha ha, I'm glad I got the aesthetic right!

@misfire-dev Thank you!

@jonas-michael Thanks so much! You might be thinking of This is the Only Level, with the elephant, like @zsharpfire said, ha ha. And the game actually isn't finished there; that's one of the little puzzles ;)

@hadri Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed playing the game!

@zsharpfire I enjoyed playing those games a lot when I was younger, and I can see exactly what you mean, ha ha. Thanks for the feedback!

@tomate-salat Thank you so much for that compliment! And for sure, I'll add in a little tooltip that lists the controls of the game!

Increadibly moody soundtrack for this type of game, and the whole game has the same vibe as a useless machine, very well done!

What a fantastic game!! Audio was amazing and carried you through the whole experience. It was repetitive in a fun way and the mood of it was great. Nice and short too. Good stuff!!

I wasn't really sure what to expect behind each door, and the game surprised me every time. I didn't arrive at any particular conclusion as to what was going on, but it was a cool experience! Very nice non-distracting soundtrack and nice effects as well. One issue I found was that I couldn't tweak the game's volume externally, because as soon as I tabbed away to adjust it, the game killed its audio stream. This could be solved with an ingame volume slider (and please, set to 50% or lower by default!). Well done! Congrats on your first game jam, very cool entry! :sparkles:

This game really took me for a trip xD But I loved it. It sounded nice and the theme really fit the game well. It was really interesting to see the background change slightly each level?

I think the graphics are really cute and overall its really well polished \o/ I really liked the doors switching around, that part was good.

Thanks for submitting it for me to try it <3

It's neat how game manages space. it's nice and clever puzzle and so is the take on the theme. Great job!

I really liked the idea, it was cool and really moody to have this kind of puzzleish thing. I think the music, and the way the music slowed down at the end, was really really fitting. Really nice!

A really enjoyable experience epic twists that actually managed to spook me. The music distortion was really well fitting in making the game immersive. It was one hell of an experience, you should keep developing the door idea into a proper game because maybe it'll blow up, I genuinely think it's viable game to keep developing to keep screwing with someone's mind. Amazing job!

@ancient-pixel Ha ha, thank you!

@peco @steve7411 Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

@falawiska I'm glad you appreciated the atmosphere! Thank you!

@outfrost Ha ha, I'm happy to know that this was quite the experience for you! I'll certainly work on some quality of life updates for the game, thanks for the feedback. I'll be adding in a tooltip to show the controls (so you don't have to look at the page), and a sort of pause menu with volume sliders. Thanks for playing the game on stream!

@sarah I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for playing the game on stream! And I'm really glad you noticed that detail of the background changing. Sorry for jump scaring you, HA HA! Looks like the game did its job!

@ashtheevil Thank you for that feedback!

@koalaura @nardandas Ha ha, thank you! It looks like the game did its job with the vibe!

@alexthehuman2 Thanks for that feedback! I'll certainly keep on working on this game and developing it into something more. Thanks for playing it on stream! I liked your energy a lot, it was really fun watching you play these games.

Went through it again since it was a few days since I played it xD
I really tried following the doors this time when they were shuffling and I thought I had it, but I was still wrong every time. One of my suggestions on stream was to make the doors kinda arc when shuffling so it's a little easier to follow when the pass through each other. I realized this time around that though you can knock on those doors to remove any guessing since the wrong doors don't make a sound!

The audio was great especially the dynamic music. The whole atmosphere + gameplay makes me think I'm in a purgatory and doors is my eternal torment haha

If you notice I already played it but I played it again because I want to btw It's really cool and mind bending for me nice.

this game managed to get 5 star in all except theme because it fit the theme illusion more than unstable.

What a great experience!
The only thing It maybe needs is to show knock/open controls ingame so its totally self contained.
And then at the end, well, I'm not sure if I'm at the end? There is just an empty door frame and the music stopped. I guess it's the end or is it another puzzle? Not sure but nothing seems to work :D

Just a general tip for LD - you probably want to have the link specify that it's an HTML5 (web) game, since more people will play those.

On the game, this is sweet! I like that you play with 'troll game' concepts without making something overly punishing, as those games tend to be. I do think the fact that you have two action buttons could probably be cut down - there's so few puzzles where opening are relevant that it could probably be always caused by knocking? Just a thought.

Awesome game! It was fun to get the feeling that the door was angry at me as it was tossing me everything and trying to mess me up along the way. I loved the simplistic graphics and eerie music along the way as well. Nice job!
