Lucky Lefty Loves Late-night Literature by TheBookSnail
If a snail gets too cold, doesn't have enough moisture, or doesn't have enough food to eat, they will go into hibernation. Lucky wants to avoid this so they can stay up at night reading their new book! Help Lucky collect sticks to stoke the fire, peas to sate their hunger, and water to moisturize their skin. If Lucky goes into hibernation they won't be able to finish their book until they wake up!
How to play: Collect resources and bring them back to the book. Keep an eye on the weather (top right), it affects the rate your resources drop (bars on the bottom). You take a break collecting resources at night to read, watch the day/night timer in the bottom right. Try to delay hibernation as long as possible to read more pages.
Weather: - Windy Weather: Dehydrates you faster (need more water) - Cold Weather: Lowers your temperature faster (need more sticks) - Hot Weather: Increases your metabolism (need more food)
Controls: - Movement: WASD or Arrow Keys - Jump/Skip Reading: W or Up Arrow or Space bar - Fast Fall: S or Down Arrow
The background audio was not made by me but the sound effects were. I have opted out of the audio category.

Always happy to see another Lucky Lefty entry. Managing the bouncy physics to get things back to base was an interesting challenge; things just did *not* want to stay put in my basket.
What I like the most: the fact that weather affects the gameplay in a smart way. Good job on that!
What I think could be improved: I felt that game was a little too difficult for me, due to the slight clunkyness of the controls (or rather, their relation to the physics, I guess?). I get that the point of the game IS that you will have trouble to collect all assets and survive, but I got frustrated at some point.
Good job on this, it deserves more attention!
Interesting choice to include the actual book the snail is reading, which I assume is public domain. Also glad you allowed the player to skip it.
Enjoyed the general forest ambience, but yeah. Wish I had a better clue where to go for each item.
