I really like the use of the theme here, it's an inventive take on something I imagine lots of kids do when playing at the beach. I was able to last 21 waves, I am wondering if the optimal strategy is protecting a column of sandcastles with a vertical line of holes or if a horizontal row of sandcastles will last longer once the player's speed increases enough.

That was is so cute, even the font matched the game perfectly. I managed 18 waves, I think my strategy wasn't good enough :D.

It's simple, but it works. The graphics have a certain charm to them. The tutorial was a little confusing, as I didn't realise you had to press Space to advance the dialogue. "Maintain X" is also a strange phrasing to use, but I understood what you meant and I'm assuming English isn't your first language, so it feels unfair to dock points for that.

For a first jam entry, this is pretty good! Keep it up!

Nice game ! the visuals are lovely ! the gameplay is simple & fit the theme nicely.

Ran into a little display issue on mac (seems fine on windows).

I also won the second game of aligning the header with the background on itch:

Very cute game! It's simple but works well.

With some wave and seagull sounds it would be even cooler!

Managed to survive for 26 waves, very good take on the theme!

@f1krazy thank you for your feedback, and you're right, english isn't my first language. Is "Hold X" better? Also, I should add a little hint "Press Space to continue" at the beginning of the tutorial.

@solah thank you, 26 waves is a great score!

@madr hidden game indeed! I also played to this one :)

@sdelay Yeah, "Hold X" is better, and some kind of hint that you need to press Space would be helpful as well.

Nice game. A very catchy interpretation of the topic.

The tutorial is a little confusing because you have to press the space bar and "scroll through" the training to the gameplay part of the game. Based on my experience in different games, I thought that I should press the keys and immediately try the mechanics.

It would be great if the character could move at the moment of the arrival of the wave. IIt's a strange feeling when control is suddenly taken away.

A counter measuring the time before the arrival of the wave can be placed in the center of the screen at the bottom. I think it will be easier to watch him this way and it will be more interesting, because you feel better when the wave comes.

Congratulations for a wonderful jam entry!
