Ragnarök is upon us! As the last (cyber-)viking, you must try and delay the inevitable arrival of the great serpent Jörmungandr. Battle through Neo-Midgard against virtual draugr and tech-dwarves, preparing yourself for the final showdown in the process. But be sure not to lose track of time...

Controls

Move - A + D

Jump - Space

Attack - Left Click

Block - Right Click (Hold)

Pause/Shop - Tab

The Rules

Defeat enemies to gain runes while paying attention to the clock. Runes can be spent to heal, upgrade stats, or delay the inevitable. When the countdown hits zero, fight the world-eating serpent.

Fun to play around with. It's a bit difficult to tell when you're taking damage though, unless your eye is always on the health bar.

Buying all in into HP and damage seems to be a decent strategy.

It's a really cool game. It was pretty hard and took me a few tries to beat it, but I think that made me appreciate the mechanics better.

I like the idea of mixing Norse mythology and cyberpunk. The attention to the visuals like the neon pink and green lights, the high-tech viking armor, etc... The difficulty is pretty steep though, I get overwhelmed by enemies at the start

Fun little game, cool aesthetic with the cyberpunk + norse myth stuff. Unfortunately there's not a lot of feedback on hitting/blocking, so I just spammed damage and healed when I got low, never really blocking. One fun thing I found is that you can just keep jumping as long as you have stamina, so you can just fly off while enemies spawn haha.

A fun little game with a nice art style and music. Improving the feedback when hitting and taking damage would improve overall game play experience. Well done.

Not bad, i liked the movement, but having block on right click is a bit unfortunate for a web based game. I use Vivaldi it uses right click gestures. But other than that no other issues.

I don't know how you got to this setting, but its actually a fun idea. didnt get to finish it though, always lost too much stamina

You should make the up or w button to jump instead of space, other than that it's pretty cool

Clever aesthetic and fun gameplay hook. Would like to try it with jump as w and shop/pause as space. Lovin' that neo-Viking helmet.

Interesting concept, nice neon look. Combat itself can have a better feeling and Viking is jumping too high. But com'on it's game jam :D Impressive that you finished a game with that amount of content in the time. Congrats!

I would suggest moving camera further away and make some flatforms. Sometimes, it can be hard to fight when enemies occupy a lot of screen space. Platforms would just bring a little more variation in terms of movement :D Other than this, I liked it

I really like the concept of a cyberpunk/norse mashup that's really cool. Because of the way the physics worked in the game (being able to push around enemies) it made it really hard to know when you were hitting vs. getting hit so felt pretty chaotic. Nice work on the graphics though.
