Simplicity that other LD games lack. Just take and play, it's cool!

This was a fun little game! It was a little confusing at first as I didn't realize you pretty much needed to roam all around the colony to find the asteroids, but it was cool that the attacks were automated. The controls definitely simulated driving a giant mech train which added to the challenge, and the difficulty ramped up pretty quickly, overall solid entry!

I laughed out loud when I first saw what the fist weapon does haha. The idea of punching asteroids out of the sky... I hope NASA is looking into this :)

I wasn't sure if I needed to worry about asteroids falling in areas on the other side of the globe. I assume if the alert indicator isn't there, it's fine?

Simple idea, well executed. Nice work.

@jordwest Thanks! And yes the left and right indicators span the entirety of the globe that's not currently in picture so it'll notify you of asteroids on the opposite end!

Really enjoyed this! The visuals were really cool, I loved all the art I also liked the few sound effects. It would be nice if the indicators were anchored properly to the screen edges so that they were visible in the small web player, but once I saw your note I was ok. Liked the gameplay concept here and you did a lot of cool touches to make it feel good to play. I particularly liked the wheels sparking when braking hard. Only thing I did notice missing was background music, perhaps something generated with something like wolfram tones could have fit your vibe here? I really liked the fist mechanic as a cool fallback and bit of added strategy for dealing with big rocks and it lead to some really fun dramatic last minute saves. Great job!

Nice game but quite hard without a "radar".

Nice simple game, very satisfying to play. Didn't actually realise you could punch the larger asteroids until I read the comments!

I thought the spark effect was a cool one when breaking, I think a little screen shake when breaking would have been really cool. For me, the zoom was a little annoying not being able to really see stuff till it was pretty close, but I get if that was a difficulty thing. I was really confused about the fist until it punched something, lol. Def would give it another play with some power ups and stuff.

It would have been nice if there was a directional arrow allowing the player to know where the asteroids are coming from. Visually if you had the cracks underneath the city landscape you could have had two types of damage being displayed, one from the planet cracking up and also different stages of building collapse. I loved the little details on the vehicles, weapons, and the sound effects that went along with it. It was nice to play something which just let me worry about moving rather than having to aim carefully at every asteroid that was coming. Nice game!

Your asteroids are almost exactly how I wanted to do mine but I didn't want to put more time in to make them look as pretty as that XD

nice entry! I agree with other comments - an indicator which direction the impact is would have been helpful.

Nice game! I saw a lot of "planet defense" game in this Ludum Dare, so it is nice to still find new concept, like this one. Nice art style and really satisfying sound effects. Good job with the game.
