But it was nice to control the player having to build the tower, making for a bit different tower defence experience.
Nice graphics as well and very nice looking itch page!
Nice work!
@onyoukai Glad you enjoyed!
@okamit Thanks for your feedback! We know we didn't hit the mark with placing the turrets down, and I really like your suggestion with a little glowing square. Glad you enjoyed the variety in gameplay from the usual waiting for waves to end! That's something we wanted to nail with this game, and glad to see it landed! Thanks for playing :v:
@ycb21 Glad you enjoyed the art style! It took me a long time to get it down since working in Isometric was really something new for me. Thanks for playing :smiley:
@orionhart Sorry the game didn't meet your expectations, we had a lot of trouble working with the Isometric style so the game had a severe lack of polish. We spent most of our time working on rendering the tiles correctly and working on some of the base systems, so there was definitely a lot of room for improvement. Thanks for your feedback though, definitely some good learning points on this one.. Thanks for playing! :v:
A cute tower defense game!! It took me a while to fully grasp it, but then it was immense fun! (and before that it wasn't super frustrating or anything :))
Have to say, I was clicking at a tree (or rock) and then waited because I thought that's the time it needs to mine the resource, I didn't understand those are cooldowns and you're supposed to run around and click like crazy collecting wood and rocks (which was fun ^^) I would recommend you add that line to your description, really like "you're supposed to run around all the time and click on resources to gather them, they are immediately gathered, the countdown is a cooldown before you can harvest from that resource again" or something like that :)
The minimalistic graphics are very pleasing to the eye (cube with eyes was supercute and the colours are pleasant) plus the soft music was adoreable too and fit to the rest. Enemy cubes looking grim would have been funny too :D :D
Lastly, these are all sprites I'm gonna assume? I'd recommend you do a web build also, so more people will play (people are lazy haha.) We unfortunately don't have a webbuild because if you don't lightbake it's gonna look horrible because indirect realtime light isn't supported in WebGL 2.0, bur for 2D it's fair game :)
Also, having the current Score shown ingame would have been cool, but I know how gamejams are :)
A very nice entry, you can be proud of yourselfes. Well done, guys!
2. But still boring, because the waves were not enough to overpower even after 15 minutes.
3. quite tedious to collect resources, though it's a decent mechanic. Wish the player was WASD controlled not right click
4. Music was nice, but I'm sure you can do better! Feel free to @ me with some of your better work :)
5. The most impressive thing is you have a team of **5**. That's amazing and you all should be putting your time into a real game, because those kinds of teams are rare.
