GG à toute l'équipe ! Une ambiance farwest rigolote, des cris de poules à la pelle, c'est qu'on s'amuse dans un poulailler ! Un conseil, faites que le joueur tire tout le temps, comme dans les jeux styles archero. GG à tous !

Gg for all the team ! A really nice ambiance, really nice screaming chicken ! Make the player shoot everytime and one boss fight it will be perfect ! Well played :)

The esthetic is really nice, the music and the graphics blend well together.
Also, the leaderboard at the end is a great addition. It gives a pleasant arcade vibe to the game.

Lovely game! Art and animation work well. The music is very good. The only real critism I have is it might be good to have a bit more feedback on whether the bullet has hit the enemy especially with how wide the random spread of the gun is.

Sometimes the music was too calm, but eventually it found the pace.

I wish I could when the level up window popped up. I also wish there was more feed back on a hit.

The game is incredibly polished, and I was having a great time.

so tried using the controler, the right stick is backwords, and im sad about that. so i switched to mouse. and i noticed that there was no cross hair for aiming. thats a MUST need for a game like this. also when i was shooting at multiple enemys the level up screen poped up and cause i was still clicking to shoot i automatically clicked a levelup item before i knew i did it. so maybe add in a buffer asking the playing if thats what they want to ensure you cant just click an item in the middle of a battle. also it would be nice to show feedback on the enemys when they get hit, also you could have them get slow a bit when they are hit, or maybe have a chance to be dazed.

heck ya! Charming little game I played quite a few rounds to go for the high score xD
With a little bit more polish and enemy variation you guys have a awesome little game

Here's a few issues I encountered:
-Right stick was backwards for me too, but I still preferred it over mouse + keyboard
-XP Bar starts filled
-Sometimes I couldn't shoot enemies that were directly in front of me (dashing would have helped with this, but I didnt realize there was dashing until after I finished playing lmao)
-Sometimes I would have to click like 20 times to purchase an upgrade (I think it wasn't switching properly from controller)
-The loading screen is awesome but stands out too much from the rest of the game
-The back arrow in the settings is nearly invisible against the orange silo in the background
-A little breathing room after you pick an upgrade would be nice so you have time to reorient yourself

some of the buttons were not working for me at the first try, although that doesn't takes away from the gameplay experience.

Nicely done, this is a fun game! :)
I particularly liked that the graphics felt coherent, also how the music changes as the difficulty goes up, and the leaderboard implementation.
About possible improvements: there's one time the upgrades window popped as I was shooting some enemy and I have no idea what I clicked. I agree with the other comments about showing enemy feedback.

This game is really fun. I love the random upgrades. Although you can just run around the same place while shooting, I still get the fun playing the game. I don't think the enemies are really that different, but it's far better than having only 1 enemy. Thank you for the fun!

Great entry, one of the most enjoyable games so far! Controls are smooth, sound is nice. Love the upgrade system. Did you create the character models over the weekend? If so, that's very impressive. Either way, the artstyle is nice and the game is very enjoyable.

One small gripe is that almost 1/3 of the time I picked an upgrade by mistake since the screen shows up instantly and right in the middle of all the action. If you moved it to a corner OR let the player open it from a button, it would minimize or remove the issue.

Overall, fantastic entry, well done, good luch and thanks for making the game for me to play :)

Fun game! Lacks hit feedback (hit pause/hit stop, vfx, etc.) on both receiving and dealing damage. I don't know when I was critical striking or my critical strike chance. Overall there just wasn't much feedback on stats in general.

Do love the animations and basic gameplay as well as that really fun music. I really enjoyed how each critter had a weird walk cycle. Very good Mood!

Aside from the magnificent art, I loved the variety of enemies and upgrades, they made the game feel really complete. One issue is that it wasn't apparent when I was being hurt / by how much. Overall though, this is really solid, polished, and fun! Congrats to the whole team, you all did a great job. :D

Really cool game! Had a lot of fun with this one. Rate of upgrades is good and super satisfying. Sound FX are enemy design are engaging and funny. Game controls super nicely (also, really nice touch that the camera slightly follows the mouse cursor.) Even got some particles in there for the walk cycle (and wind, really nice!)

Difficulty felt fair, and I enjoyed the size of the level.

Overall, and it's just a little nitpicky, but I really would have liked more feedback when the enemies get hit by the player projectiles. Some screen shake or a particle burst or a damage tint color would have been great.

Overall super solid entry, thanks for completing it! I had fun playing it

@jcmonkey Hey thanks for your comment, we always like constructive criticism! We've removed the Controller support in our game page since many feature seems to not work with it (UI navigation, inverted aiming ...). For the Upgrade window, adding a "Select upgrade" at the bottom of the UI would've helped to prevent some miss click! Again, thanks for playing our game!

@itsboats Wait, did you make that score with an inverted stick?? O.o Great feedback, everything you said seems pretty reasonable to fix/implement. We're thinking about improving the game for the "Extra" submission and everything you said is gonna be the first things we do!

@dclaude Damn, I can barely make 500 points O.o Also, it seems someone has seen your high score and we kinda lost control over the leaderboard hahaha.

@squidly Hey thanks for playing our game. Feedback is indeed lacking, which is something we actually implemented but didn't make it to the final build. We plan on adding a bunch of enemies, hopefully boss rounds, and weird animations.

@failuer Hey thanks for playing! Yes, everything in the game was made during the game jam. The 3D using MagicaVoxel and 3DMax, the 2D using Aseprite. The music and sounds were also made during the jam, tho I'm not sure what softwares our Sound designer used (I'll asked).

Awesome game! I don't know how you managed to add a leader board to you game in time but it really adds to a game of this genre! Great game overall, although a minimap or better centering of the camera would make seein enemies from the bottom of the screen easier, overall though really good!

Silly fun, and exactly what real chicken farming is like! Great voxel art, smooth gameplay.

Game mechanics could have been a bit more transparent (helping weigh choices in the upgrade menu). While I liked both audio tracks, the more frenetic one was uncomfortably than the first one.

Very fun and satisfying game! The animals look epic and the music sounds great! Online leaderboards are a great addition rarely seen in jam games. The concept fits the theme well and the overall mood is very coherent. Gameplay works smoothly and the controls feel great. Enemy animals could perhaps use more variety in terms of gameplay as they are quite similar in that regard. The egg shooting could also have some sort of visual feedback on hit. Other than those two nitpicks, great job!

Very solid entry! Great art and sounds. The basic gameplay loop is very good and quite addictive. However, towards the end it starts getting a bit stale since you are basically just running backwards and shooting. Some different kinds of enemies and abilities could twist that basic loop - but you cannot do everything during a jam. This was already superb for a jam game!

Nice game, i like voxel graphics there.
Maybe too slow progression there, i think bigger buffs and faster difficulty grows will work better.
Also, i'd like to see the numbers, like how much damage gives me this upgrade, or how much attack speed and e.c. Maybe even numbers of damage dealt?
There is a progression of enemies, like fox has average speed, hp and damage, rabbit is fast but weak, and turtle should be slow and strong? But it is an ultimate unit, it fast and has huge damage. Also maybe all enemies become too fast in the late game.
Bug, musics and sound shuts down after long play (something like 12 lvl maybe more).
Anyways, it's a nice entry, got a lot of fun playing. Good luck!

Wait... what? Turtles are faster than foxes?! ^^
Very cute and fun game! On the other hand, it lacks a little feedback when you damage the animals and get touched by them. And why is the life cube green and not red like the life bar?
It's a very good work, I stayed glued in front for 45min! Congratulations to the whole team! =)

Fantastic submission, you guys! The voxel models were enjoyable, as was the sound and music. Great menu system and the leaderboard was a nice touch. What did you use for the leaderboard? Dreamlo, or something else? Upgrade system was fun, and something I wish I'd implemented in my own game. Some feedback on when an enemy gets hit might be nice, like a flash, camera shake, or healthbar reducing. But overall, a lovely entry that you guys should be proud of. Well done!

@jordantanner Hey thanks you for you feedback! We are currently working on a new version and have already implemented a camera shake "on-hit". A flash also might be nice, we'll have to test it! Great job on the game. I really liked the art and style of the game and I thought the music was well done and fit quite well. It was fun to run around and shoot and the upgrades were a nice addition. One thing that I think could be improved is adding some more feedback for hitting enemies and an indication for critical hits. I noticed a decent amount of crit upgrades while playing but it was hard to judge how effective they were since there was no indication for them.Overall though I had a good time, well done.

Wow pretty fantastic entry!!
I like the basic mechanics and the gradual increase in difficulty made it fun. I do wish there was some visible way to see that the enemies are stronger though.
The highscore boards is really cool and the art and audio make the whole game feel very polished.
The one issue that bothered me the most is that I didn't really receive any feedback when I got hurt or when I landed a shot against the enemy/how much damage I did. It would've made things better.
But overall really really well done.

Good job!

Hello LameBoy,

Thanks for stopping by stream and sharing your game. Loved the art/voxel look. Also enjoyed the western theme. This game was super duper fun. Some feedback I would give is making the health bar and upgrade UI bigger, its a bit small and hard to read and it is pretty important for the player to see/one of the most crucial parts of the game. Also I think there would be a great benefit from making it more obvious when you get hit, its hard to know when you are being damaged. Also some of the borders were not the same size/squashed so watch that as well. Overall great game!

Very enjoyable! A "last stand" game isn't the most imaginative use of the theme, but a game where you shoot eggs out of a chicken's backside can hardly be called unimaginative! I love the voxel graphics, that's not an aesthetic you see often in Ludum Dare.

Gameplay-wise, there's a nice variety of power-ups, allowing for a wide range of playstyles. You can focus on outrunning enemies, tanking their hits, taking them out ASAP, or simply increasing the rate at which they drop XP so you can level up faster. I would have liked a bit more enemy variety, but I get that there isn't always the time for that kinda stuff.

Very good job! Well done!

Fun game, was enjoyable trying to come up with the best meta for which upgrades to pick :D The upgrade window popping up without warning is a bit jarring and I picked up a couple of upgrades I didn't want to. Great graphics and music as well!

While the explanation for this game was kind of odd, the aesthetics and music add a nice flavor to it. The mechanics are simple, but it is fun to play. As others have mentioned, the game could use feedback for when the character is hit or hits an enemy. Nice job overall!

This was such a funny take on a wave survival game, and it fit the theme really well. I managed to get 560 after a couple attempts. The music was fantastic, and the sound effects really punched up the humor.

My biggest gripe was that I kept losing the mouse against the bright yellow backdrop, and ended up missing a lot of shots. An aim indicator with a lot of contrast would have helped a lot.

So these are the things you need to pay attention to before breeding? I have a French Bulldog, and I am very stressed about it. I want everything to be perfect because I know some cases when French Bulldogs got serious injuries while giving birth to their puppies. I am doing everything to prevent it. For example, I found a nutrition plan on ourfrenchie.com for pregnant Frenchies so the dog can be stronger. She is close to giving birth to the puppies, and I don't want something bad to happen to my beloved dog.
