I like this game because it gives me the feeling of an old timey prospecter running to kick out a powder trail thats going to some dynamite.

The hose moving independantly adds an extra layer of depth i think the game needed, keeping track of both is an enjoyable experiance when mastered!

I really liked this. Would not have had the hose change direction with the cart though, it was quite annoying for the angle to flip. Nice entry though.

Pretty clever idea and nice art style.

good game, although when the cart turns left or right the hose seems to reset it's rotation which can make aiming difficult.

Cool idea. Just tweak the controls as mentioned. Fun though and the track was a nice fit. Easy to grasp.

The art style was nice. Maybe aiming should have been with a mouse. I just stayed at the bottom of the screen and moved back and forth and was able to stop the fire.

I'm gonna build upon some of the other feedback talking about the hose rotation - when flipping on the x axis, it's not necessarily a bad thing from a controls perspective, but rather from a balance perspective. Once I got the right angle for the hose, I never adjusted it again - I just flipped back and forth to hit each side. Couple minutes later and I have 300+ points and wasn't planning on losing soon.
Also, having a limited water supply (refilled by the hydrant?) would probably be a good idea going forward, as right now you can just hold down I forever with your infinite water supply.

i liked it. Lasted for 164 seconds! In the end, the hose flipping is what got me. Good game!

Simple and fun, brings me back to some real old school game & watch classics!
I'm happy with my 358 seconds! What's your high score? :)

One suggestion: It would've been nice with a sound effect when a fire is extinguished!

Well done!

Nice game, fits really well with the theme!
Movement could sometimes be confusing though

A nice little game that fits the theme well. The controls did a great job at being confusing, causing panic when moving around desperately attempting to put out the fireballs that try to set the dynamite on fire (I'm assuming the confusing, panic-inducing controls were intentional).

Had a lot of fun with this one.

very suit for the theme,,the music is very nice but not fit with the nervous mood, and I hardly use move system just standing in thr center waiting the fire balls coming ;) moving up the cat get smaller, this detail is very nice

Simple and fun to play! I like how you create perspective by changing the size of the cart. Also the particle effect of the incoming fireballs are really nice! I got up to 287 seconds.

Really fun to play with. Maybe add the sound effect for shooting water and fire hitting the dynamite.

Very smooth. Great graphics and sounds. Just very repetitive. My suggestion is to add maybe different enemy's. Good game though!

Soothing music, and the flipping mechanic was interesting to play around. I though it was a bit easy and repetitive after a while.

Very cool asteroid/defender type game! Artwork is great, music fits the aesthetic, very nice. The gameplay was interesting, not sure about the sprite flipping thing, feels weird. I'd also like to aim with the mouse, but using the keys is also more challenging. Good job!

Solid submission! I loved the art, whoever drew it is very good :D

It was very confusing when the cart got mirrored so i just stayed in the middle and shot water. Managed to get to 220 before stopping. :D Maybe some power ups or change after a minute would be nice

nice game, as a friendly little tip, you should look at how to use quaternions to fix the rotation of the hose when you go left and right from flipping everything, unless it's intentionnal.

This made me give up on moving i just stayed in the middle and spam the fireballs ahah, maybe force the player to move by adding a hitbox on the dynamite to block the water, or maybe force refuel on a watertank on the side of the map ?

GG anyway :)

No geral, Bom trabalho!

Graphics are nice, fake perspective looks good. However, I didn't really like that the hose did not keep it's rotation while turning the cart. Water could be a limited resource but I think you wanted to do that as there even is a fire hydrant. (Otherwise, holding a key to spray water is unnecessary.) Overall good game. :D

That dynamite sure can take a lot of hits uh.
I like how the controls are a bit janky, with the J, I, L and having the thing flip around. But maybe having more spawn points from the flames would make it more dynamic, instead of always aiming for those 4 positions
