Jailbound Joyride by AmberFall92
Wacky platformer where you play as a jumping car, driving on procedurally generated pieces of floating highway, avoiding hazards and police cars in this endless, zany runner.
Use the arrow keys or A & D to speed up and slow down. Jump with spacebar or left mouse button. Hold them down to jump farther. Your beater car takes damage every time you jump or hit obstacles, and when police catch up with you. Your capture is inevitable. Still, just keep driving! Use duct tape to piece your car back together so you can hold onto your freedom just a little bit longer.
All art assets except the fonts created by AmberFallStudio during the jam, and will be available for free on OpenGameArt after the jam ends. Fonts used: Upheaval from DaFont.com, Fipps by Pheist.net, and 8-bit arcade by Ansimuz. All music, sfx, and code was created by Saondberg during the jam, except for the car crash sound which was sampled from YouTube. Link for the video in our itch page.

I'm usually really bad at these arcady games and tend to give up easily but hey look at me starting as a noobwaffle, and ending up as an outlaw, what an incredible step up right ?

(I love how you fixed the issues with spikes and replaced them by trafic cones which is more immersive, and when you fall down now there is some road and you don't lose by missing a jump)
the graphics are perfect, the audio is amazing, the humour is great.

**Innovation:** This category is always confusing to rate, but this game is pretty innovative. I don't remember seeing a sidescroller type game like with enemies like the cars so good job!
**Theme:** It fits well. Not sure what more to say here.
**Graphics:** The visuals are terrific. The cars, the background, the effects, everything. My only suggestion here would be to add parallax layers for the background.
**Audio:** It sounded good!
**Humor:** Love the little quips you added after you died... Noobwaffle :rofl:
**Mood:** I liked how you had the lamp posts they really added a lot to the mood and the graphics.
**Overall:** Really good polished game! Not much that I would change.

So adrenaline driven game, controls are great, I wish my game was polished like that! Soundtrack reminds me Axel F oley theme, so cool!

Jumping on a bunch of cars that have become one after another and doing a crazy combo is amazing! Your game has lifted my spirits. I want the full version for my smartphone!
The art style is very nice and clear, the gameplay feels addictive. I got to 200 before the police swarmed me and I drove over spikes :)
The Music and SFX is neat.

Simply an amazing entry. The juice this game has is just great! From the sound effects, to the animation, just amazing!

Seriously, consider doing a full mobile release!
