Prologue

As a pro gamer you used to be able to work and play games simultaneously. But since you started your new job everything is more stressful. You can either delay the game or your work, but it's inevitable to constantly get all work done while playing games.

Delay work as long as possible.

How to lose:

  • When you die in the game you lose.
  • When the work timer (alarm clock on the right) runs out and you have not finished all your work you lose.
  • When the boss catches you playing the game you lose.

Information:

  • You might have to do some tasks from time to time like calculating something or turning the display back on again in order to continue writing/working

Controls:

  • Game:
    • W or UPArrow: Shoot
    • A or LeftArrow: Rotate Left
    • D or Right_Arrow: Rotate Right
    • Space: Activate Shield

I actually loved this game. I expected the office to be something somewhat irrelevant but I really liked that a lot of what's on the screen is actually applicable. I am legitimately unsure if the art style added or took away from the game.

really enjoyed this one, the only critism is the controls on the game turn a little quick making it tricky to line up to shoot, other than that its a great entry, well done.

cool graphics, live situation, interesting gameplay, claculator really works, the only thing is that rotation is weird, still great overall)

Managed to delay work by 5 minutes, haha. I really like how the boss looks when he comes in. Really makes me feel like I'm supposed to be working. Wish that the ketchup was controlled by the mouse instead of the keyboard, but other than that, this is a really nice game!

A fun concept! It took me a run to figure out that there were mouse controls in order to minimize the screen and turning it back on, but after that things were pretty clear. Lining up for the correct shot to catch the missile and the enemy felt a little iffy at times, but having the shield available for the worst moments helped a lot. Fun entry!

Liked the game-within-a-game concept a lot and also the resource management side of it too. It was pretty overall and the task events could come more frequently to make it feel a bit less dull at times. Nice work.

Cool concept and good execution. One thing I would really want is a keyboard shortcut for showing and hiding the game. Could definitely see this being expanded with more random tasks you have to take on.

I like the tight rope balance of work and play. Took me a while to figure out how to exit the game so I can look productive in front of the boss. I like the art it was simple 2d design. Good job

Haha cool game and fun concept! I tried a couple of times and managed to delay work for 2:31.

I didn't see the calculator at first, whoops. I was just trying to type in the right answer, and lost quite a few games on that.

The rotation/aiming with the ketchup bottle was a bit clunky, as well as operating the calculator. It seemed there was some delay in the input (I played the HTML version).

I love the office sounds, and when the boss checks in I notice that I react with my body and face in a cartoony "pretending-to-work" face, haha! Well done
