Weapon sound is a bit disturbing imo. The base is too big to defend. Spiders are very fast and not easy to kill. There could be a right click zoom on the weapon maybe. Game over event has a few bugs. Godot is a great option for this kind of games. I'm myself also learning it. Congrats!

Although this type of wave based gameplay has been done before, I found this iteration very fun. Once I got into the higher levels I started to notice some lag when the spiders got bunched up closer to the base. I think it would have been fun to have different kinds of AI to place down other than just additional humans. Almost like a tower defense game with an added FPS element. Having some bullet tracers would have been nice so that I could tell if I were hitting the spiders from the longer ranges. Overall nice work!

Apologies on the horrible game over popup, we didn't make time to improve it, as well as add a start menu, etc.

Thanks for the feedback on the weapon zoom, bullet tracers, and different AI. We were thinking about those things, and wish we had time to add them. The 2nd AI was going to be an engineer to fix the walls, or repair the supply depot. We initially went with a laser, but I struggled implementing the visuals for that, so we'd need some more time for a bullet tracer probably, although I'd think it couldn't be too difficult. I would agree it's much needed as it's hard to tell if you hit an alien, unless it's up close via blood & sound.

Nice job! I think that implementing all the best ones they have in mind will improve the gameplay a lot. Improving a good AI, can improve a lot to help protect the base and make the game more fun xD

I really liked placing the soldiers to help defend. I fould that by round 6 I could just let them kill all the enemies though. Would be cool if there was some power weapon only you could use like rocket launcher with limited ammo. I liked the environment too but a better gun and enemy death sound would have gone a long way since you hear it so often. Overall enjoyed the game and good entry!

balancing the game was tricky and we tried our best to make it feel like it was manageable but that was tough. We did plan on having a laser gun and pistol as well as having an engineer, who could repair the walls, but we ran out of time and that was too large of a scope for 2 people in 3 days when everything was from scratch but we DID think about it LOL.

This game is weirdly fun, even if there is not so much in it, just shooting at those spiders and placing my little army in the base kept me playing for more time than I expected.

Solid jam game, I wish the shooting sound was a bit less loud but other than that I did have fun shooting at the spiders, despite maybe missing some indicator where the waves would be coming from.

yeah we will be lowering the volume soon. maybe tomorrow. there is an indicator for hits but it's admittedly too small so maybe we'll make it bigger.

gun shot sound has been reduced, as a post-submission bug fix release.

I love this game, I am a big fan of Starship Troopers and I felt in the middle of the movie as Johnny Rico :D. Great job. I would love to see more of this in the future.

The game is fine but it could use the help of some indicators showing where the bugs are attacking
