The pawn's gambit by Duck Reaction

The final combat will begin ! Someone will die, it's inevitable ! You have only one shot, keep calm and focus, you have to delay your attack to make a bloody perfect kill :skull: Be careful ! If you delay your attack too much, your enemy will kill you.
GOAL
Kill all three first enemies (the rook, the knight and the bishop) and get at least one perfect kill to access to the final boss (the queen). Kill the queen ! :knife:

How to play
- When the enemy start moving, click and hold the left mouse button.
- Aim the enemy heart.
- Release the mouse button when the enemy is on red square. To get a perfect attack, you have to release the mouse button when the enemy is perfectly on red square and your mouse cursor is on heart.
Tips : if you know chess rules, you can predict the enemies moves.

EDIT: Ack, then my finger slipped on the next fight and I died. :(
I've played for some time, wasn't able to unlock the king though  kept getting "good" scores all the time haha.
Here are my thoughts:
- I really like the atmosphere and the kill cam. It's very, very stylish.
- Adding the chess moves to the mechanics was a super nice touch :)
- I've had some issues regarding input feedback. Sometimes I wasn't sure when to start holding the mouse button, or when to let it go. I kinda got the hang of it after some time but never managed to get a "perfect" score. And sometimes I wouldn't know whether I missed the heart or was just too slow to click.
- Once I learned the ropes, the game was very fun. Holding the mouse button and focusing on the perfect time to click (and at the exact right spot) had me on edge at all times.
Congrats on the entry!
That being said, I still enjoyed the concept! Enough to get to the final boss (but I couldn't beat it, having to do all the fights again in a single row is rough). It's a pretty cool anticipation and rhythm mechanic. Again, with more indications on the timing and the targeting, it could give something really cool. Plus, I must mention that the visual and sound design are incredible! You did a really good job overall.
@daniel-foutz @quill18 @itooh Thank you for your feedbacks, we have fixed some mouse issue, the game should be easier to master.
@itooh Agree, we should have added more feedbacks, it's hard to understand why the shot is not perfect. But you know, jam is really fast
@conradoclark Thank you for notice us our mistake, you're right, it's "Mood" not "Humor". I guess I have miss click  . Rate options are now fixed.
Thanks for playing and supporting us!
For the game mechanics, it was a bit confusing at start. One main thing was that I couldn't focus in on the target (click-hold) as soon as the enemy drops into the game. Maybe there should be a visual / auditory signal for when the round actually starts. Then it wasn't really clear to me if there was any benefit to holding for a long time or just clicking when the piece hits the red square. Except that it was more cool to be focused. Then finally it also took me a few fails to understand that I also had to release on the red square way before it moved off it. So something visually and/or auditory to help clarify this moment would have been helpful.
Perhaps the camera could also in the focus mode follow the piece a bit because when it got to the closest corner it was almost out of view, or the on the very edge.
Great entry all in all though!
