The grappling hook works well, I did get stuck at 393m, where the ground sticks out, I couldn't jump high enough or swing out there, still solid entry all round.

517 Meters! I really like this game! A super simple concept but it feels great to play and the music is banging! I think to improve it, better ground textures and more variety in the backgrounds? Also, sometimes when swinging its very easy to get ahead of the tsunami quite a way.

Got a good laugh at that one! Well done!

Good theme implementation, good music choice, cute little player character.

But the jumping / grappling felt a little off fore me. Hard to describe, it was very difficult to control.

All in all, good job.

Really like the music track! Most of the games I've played so far have went for chiptune stuff (not that that's bad, we did too) so it's nice to hear a hi-def bop.

I keep getting RNG'd into an impossible jump and not being able to get further 😭

Good mechanics though, well implemented.

Reached 407m! The jumps are a little floaty which is hard to get used to, I probably would have wanted more gravity. But it works well for the swinging parts which happen later in the level! I really found it intuitive to chain multiple grappling hook swings together. This was fun! Nice work!

502 meters by the first time. Nice hook, nice soundtrack choice, sadly - no sfx. My team made the same :)

Its really nice! The music is amazing, a thing that i would change is the grappling gun, i think it will be better if its faster.

Fun little endless runner! When I saw the theme, this genre of arcade games was what I first thought of, and this game executes that style well. The grappling hook, despite taking a bit to understand, felt good to use, and was more intuitive than I thought. I wish that the camera let me see a little further ahead, though, so I could see what is coming- I kept getting got by unpredictable terrain. Well done!

Perhaps its a skill gap for the fact that im not using a mouse but i didnt find it very intuitive to use the grapple hook. Also this might feel really good controller. Also it might feel smoother if you could play mid air. @goat did you use a mouse?

Reaaly nice mechanics. I think it could be improved with a little polishing of the grappling hook, which sometimes feels a little weird.

Grappling hooks, and especially chaining grappling hooks will never not be satisfying :D

I think a more polished up version would be great. Controls are kinda floaty and the graphics need some improvements, but I love the grapplehook. With a tad more work, I think it'd be a pretty solid infinite runner.

Great music and the swinging is really fun, would be nice to have some way to get back, sometimes I got really ahead, but the fell down. Great job overall.

Got 592m! Love the core mechanics, the swinging is super satisfying and its a lot of fun to build up momentum with it. I like the visuals a lot, especially the sense of depth you have with the layered backgrounds. I got some stuttering that came in when I started to pick up speed, didn't interfere with the game much but might be something to look into. Great job!

647 meters! Great music and cute graphics, solid controls :) The grappling hook felt little bit slow and intuitive at first and there was no sound effects for using it and neither for jumping. But I have reviewed 3 games so far and this has been the most fun and pleasing experience! :)

The gameplay wasn't innovative, yet it was executed in a VERY fun way, when you start to understand how the controls work and swing like Spider-Man - you get free serotonin to your brain. There should be a way to escape the cliffs if You miss the jump though. And the soundtrack is very nice! :)

At first I was like "Oh great, a Pendulumeca clone". But I actually had a lot of fun playing this and sent it to my friends to play.

The cutscene at the very beginning is pretty well done and the music is great. Has a lot of replayability.

My only critique would be regarding the pixel art. The background, tsunami, and character are all at different resolutions and it's a little jarring. Other than that, I really loved this game

Nice game, it was fun to play. It could use a bit more variety in the layouts, after a while it did get a bit stale. There was a point that I made it just past 900m and fell down a hole but was about 10 seconds in front of the wave. When the player gets ahead of the wave too far it could speed up until it catches back up to them which would give a constant urgency to the situation. And if they fall down a hole it would be a good thing to check that and kill them immediately rather than needing to wait. Or you could make it so you could potentially get out of the hole like being able to slowly climb vertically so there is a bonus to getting far in front of the wave.

Fun game, the music is catchy! Some jumps are a bit scary, but the replayability is good because you added a scoring system.

Oh boy am I bad at these games. I got stuck somewhere in the 200s, that being said I enjoyed it more than I usually enjoy these types of games so very well done! Hopefully somebody else has more success saving the little ones than I did. x.x

Loved the grappling hook! Fluid controls and was really fun grappling around! Like the music as well and the bird riding bara is hillarious. Excellent submission, would be cool on mobile too.

Music slaps, and I love the background art. I just wish the player was bigger so I could appreciate the art :)
Jumps felt a bit floaty overall, but the grapple mechanic was fun.
I appreciate that you took the time to make an opening cutscene to set the mood.

Once I figured out the grapple, it was very nice. Quite challenging. Awesome music (felt a bit like Eskimo Cowboy, the electro/metal band, the first few bars in the intro :D) Good job!

Simple but effective endless runner (I got to 340), I got better when I figured out the hookshot timing better and used as few clicks as possible. The stomping rhythm of the music in sync with the charming simple character animation has a hypnotic effect. A bit odd that the wave is so pixelated in comparison to the rest of the graphics. A solid entry!

I loved your take on the theme, the music was well mix although a little bite repetitive to my taste. The art was great. I loved the mechanic of the grapple hook idea although it was very hard to control at first but after i few play i got a little bite better. The thing i would have like to have is a reel-in option when hooked to something as sometimes you were just stuck and even jumping couldn't get you out. But over all, great entry, a job well done! :)

This took me a while to get used to (I didn't read through the description thoroughly and didn't realize you could jump!) but once I got the hang of it the controls felt more natural. I really like the music, and it's really fun to play. Good job!
