Author's Commentary
Our second try at ldjam. Theme is very good this time! And what is more inevitable than endless runners and memes? This time we're more confident of ourselves, but a lot of improvements could be made still and we hope we'll have time to polish this game further a bit after the jam ends. Anyway, please try our game out and tell us your thoughts!

Either way, a solid game! Well done!
Nicely made, and fun to platform across - I got to 46 items dropped I think, about 84 seconds was my max and then the hoover sped up to light speed 😂 Great job.
I recorded myself playing, message me on the Jam’s discord @ Dark Peace and I’ll send it to you.
As I say in the video, it's actually an original take on the endless runner. But the things you can not/collide aren't very clear.
Everything felt pretty fleshed out, congrats on this, you guys should feel really proud! The graphics were suitably cute (btw, i LOVED the animation of the cat getting caught in the hoover at the end)
The jump felt a bit restrictive in that if I didn't quite make the jump, the gravity was so low that I lost precious time waiting to hit the ground before I could jump again and make my escape.
Overall really solid entry!
Game could use some sound controls and balance tweaks, but overall very solid and nice experience.
Hoover going to light speed is quite shocking :D
@appoxgames Ahaha, yeah! It's so catchy that we even made a mute button on game over screen xD Yeah, I agree, the level generation could be improved and more different objects added. We'll see to it when making "post-jam" version :) Thanks for your input and for playing the game!
@puddingzserem Yeah, but were those buckets absolutely correctly named or rather absolutely correctly painted?.. We'll never know :D Thanks for your feedback and thanks for having fun playing our game!
@cornfab Ahaha, yeah! We need to make everything more intuitive, right now it's kinda "thrown into the ocean" situation for a player. But thanks for playing and leaving a comment, hope you had some fun! :)
@dogesquad Thanks for playing! Very happy that you found something fun and appealing about our game! :) Music is a bit repetitive, yeah. We had two tracks prepared for the game but hadn't come to an agreement on how to use both of them and decided to go with only one. We'll add more tracks later when we'll work on the game again :)
@joedev 84 seconds, awesome! You are only a bit of time away from "the good ending" we included :) Thanks for having fun with our game, we really appreciate it!
@bottled-up-dark-peace Haha, poop cat xD I see how it can be read like that, but we just relied on popularity of the "popcat" meme :) Yes, things that you can collide with are not very clear visually, but basically it's cardboard boxes that you can collide with from all of the sides, other ones can be collided with only from the top. We'll be sure to make that more clear visually later on. Thanks for the input and for recording your playthrough!
@aliiiii Congratulations on unlocking "the good ending" :D And thanks for playing the game!
@sasquatchbstudios Thanks! The fact that you think that our game is well made melts my heart :) Jumping mechanic needs to be balanced a bit, I agree. Thanks for your input and for playing!
@vrex Yeah, I agree, we need to tweak the gameplay a bit overall and add a pause menu with settings :) Light speed hoover was my decision because I managed to survive for 6 minutes without any troubles, but guys were telling me that it needs to be slower. Maybe I should have listened to them after all ^_^' Anyway thanks for your feedback, we really appreciate it!
Cute little game, I like the art and simple concept, though the stamina felt a little forced. It felt like I was supposed to go out of my way to knock over objects, but knocking over objects punished me at the same time
PS: I'm tweeting about the games I play from this jam. Here is this one: https://twitter.com/TheAntonSem/status/1511766385994702858
@tankou Thank you, Tankou :kissing_cat:
@vitor-milioni What a detailed response! Thank you for all your words, mate :sunglasses: We already working on our post-jam version and mobile release, and will change position of mute button for sure :smile_cat: And yes, we have cats, we love cats, we undestand their tiny little cats souls! :hearts:
@antonsem Thank you! You absolutely right, the difficulty curve - is one thing we should work on. There is a sudden change of difficulty when stamina getting low, so you should wait and avoid stuff on platforms and in that moment hoover can catch you easily. And what about restart with mouse - this is very accurate comment, thank you! And thank you again for sharing our game in twitter :blue_heart:
@ossi Thank you a lot, Ossi! :kissing_cat:
@b3b0 Haha I believe hoover missed you, maybe because of his collider placed on the body of hoover, not on the pipe :smile_cat:
Thank you all for playing and comment! Have a great LDjam experience!
Great, fun, cool. A cat from a funny picture. The absurdity of what is happening. Good gameplay, graphics and sound... BUT THE VACUUM CLEANER! :fire:
Fun runner game. I liked the style and the bopin' soundtrack. The incorrectly named paint cans were funny. The gameplay is simple, but I think it works well. Good submission!
@zyang Thanks a lot! Yeah, the cat does make a "pop" sound but only when pushing objects down :) The sound itself is a bit quiet though
@mopifish Thanks for playing! Regarding the stamina, I agree this mechanic falls a bit too short. We initially wanted to make it more tactical somehow so that player would make a choice between running faster or pushing an item at the cost of speed, but didn't have time to balance it correctly :( We definitely will in later versions!
@weewsa Спасибо большое за добрые слова) Да, пожалуй стоит хотя бы описание обновить насчёт прыжков. Я когда эту механику делал - думал, что это стандарт для платформеров и не должно быть по-другому, но зря я по себе судил)
@100th-coin Haha, thanks! :) Yeah, music was made intentionally as silly as it could be without sounding atrocious :) I agree, Niklas really went all out with animations! Big thanks to him too ^_^ And I'm very happy that gameplay was to your liking, thanks for everything again!
@jani-brezavscek Ahaha! Yeah, cats are great, we agree! Thanks for playing! ^_^
@tankou Thanks, this means a lot! :) Glad you enjoyed the game!
@vitor-milioni Wow, thank you so much for such a detailed commentary! Ahaha, yeah, including mute button only on game over screen was intentional so that people could hear this audial masterpiece at least once per playing xD We'll definitely add pause screen and settings in later versions :) But anyway, thanks once more for sharing your thoughts and for encouraging us to go beyond! ^_^
@antonsem Thank you very much for trying out and tweeting about our game! Yes, I absolutely agree with you, even despite depleting stamina you still can just push all the items and run almost endlessly (hence the ENDLESS runner ahaha) we'll definitely see to re-balancing the game. And thanks for UI/UX tip :)
@ossi Thanks a bunch, Ossi! :) Very happy to hear that you had fun ^_^
@b3b0 Haha, thanks! Yeah, no doubt that some bugs concerning colliders can be encountered right now :) I fell through the floor while doing an hour-long playtest session xD I guessed that it happened because floor segments' colliders were not overlapping and I made them overlap, after that we never encountered this bug again, but I never did this for the hoover ^_^'
@amberfall92 Thank you! ^_^ Yeah, this voiceline was actually main inspiration for the song :D
@sofignedova Ahaha, agreed! This vacuum cleaner is really intimidating with it's mad hose flailing and whatnot :D Thank you for playing the game!
@mrbrainfed Ahaha, yeah! Why should we always be concerned about a cat, think about how the hoover feels xD Thanks for playing and commenting!
@boxedmeatrevolution 160 items is a really good result! Thanks for your feedback and having fun with out game! :)
I kinda feel bad for the cat :)
I wish you could use Space for jumping as I usually use WASD and playing with one hand is not convenient with wasd+x combination
> The game runs great, no bugs or anything bug infested or breaking - and in design and concept it’s fine but the music and sfx were annoying, the cat looked ugly, and it the gameplay got really old really fast.
You probably won't see this response, but anyway, thanks for leaving a comment and being honest! We're very sorry that you didn't like our game. And I agree with you that there is no diversity at all in gameplay now. We tried to make it more engrossing, but failed :( About cat being ugly and music being annoying. I can understand how you feel. This was an intentional decision to make the game more wacky in a good way. I'm sorry that we could not convey this idea well enough :(
Thanks for your opinion again! Comments like that only make us try harder and be even better! :)
The sprites of the cat we're simply hilarious and the fact that the enemy is a vaccum cleaner.. lol.
This made me feel bad about cleaning lol, I will be more considerate towards my cats from now on :b
It took a bit to get used to it with down and up but was then easy with just moving the middle finger :)
Music was cute & silly and fit the game pretty well :)
Good job a guys! A very adoreable game!

I mean it was a fun experience this and i see a lot of possibilities with the game in the future. Really good for a second entry aswell! I remember the mess that i was in when starting out haha. Hope I see you in the future
Breakdown! Breakdown! Had a fun time with this one, weird concept, but as long as the execution is solid run with it! Beautiful graphics, catchy audio, really great stuff.
Critiques: I couldn't figure out what if anything stamina did, and this feels like a lost opportunity not including some sort of catnip power up. This is also being very nitpicky, but I'd have liked some alternative controls, or controller support. Arrow key and space makes me sad! Also maybe having some more verticality would have been nice.
Aside from the reaching I did above, was really enjoyable all around!
Very fun game! Good entry!
Making good platforming controls is very hard, and this is close to it even if it lacks small polish like coyote jump or a buffer.
Thanks for the game I had fun 😼
