I stacked turrets and could have played forever!
Not only that, but you created an _extremely_ cohesive atmosphere: the music, the sfx, the art, the animations, the little polish with things lighting up to indicate selection...just a fantastic job all around!
For purely the sake of adding feedback, which I do for every game I play, I will say two things:
- It felt weird to me that the gun was attached to the player sprite only via flipping the x axis. Meaning, when you aim in a different direction than youre facing, it looks really awkward when the bullets come flying out of the tip of the gun on the right and go through the player to the left. Maybe a 360deg rotation for the gun would have been a better design?
- I wanted a little more variety in terms of things you could buy/cook. I mean, this is obviously something you guys would have done if you weren't limited on time, but I really would have loved to experiment with different guns, food options, rebuilding barricades, etc.
Honestly, with the time you guys had, this is just a phenomenal game. Truly, I had the most fun playing this game so far out of any other.
[EDIT]: forgot to mention...your tutorial is top-notch. Best tutorial I've seen so far.
I really enjoyed it, thank you. =)
My only gripe has to do with the tutorial, it felt phenomenally slow due to the zoom ins and everything.
There is a humour to it as it brings me back to those classic games, but for me right now I just want to get to the gaaaaame and I understand the premise so the slower intro isn't needed. A hover text with arrows while still allowing me to move is my preference, but I understand if this was not done for artistic purposes.
If I wasn't so tired I'd probably have kept playing but here we are.
Well done. :D
This one made me laugh!
I think it would be cool if the chef's gun rotated around the player and pointed at the mouse.
The only suggestions are only implementable if you had more time, nothing BIG:
-Variety of weapons, food, tower defense placement
-A mechanic to fix windows
-The gun firing and aiming was a bit wonky. This may be an issue with my mouse though as nobody else seems to have had it
Great job
Nice work!
Top notch entry to say the least, hat off!
