Lovely take on the theme. I liked how it was harder to move upwards than side to side. Interesting that you had to balance taking catching some bullets but not too many. Would have been cool to have more powerups, but I'm sure time was an issue. Alas :) Nice work, you should be super proud of this one. The song was a good touch. Cheers!

Interesting concept! I misunderstood the instructions at first and just thought I was protecting my paddle, so I tried to *avoid* the bullets, then realized after I died. The next run went better. Maybe the instructions could say "block bullets *from hitting the bottom*" for people like me :-)

This would be a decent amount of work, but it would be really cool if the paddle and hit area got slowly chipped away like the barriers in Space Invaders by each bullet -- would be a (scary) visual indicator of paddle damage and health.

Sound was great, and the graphics were simple but well-utilized and fit perfectly. Great work!

This is a very good game! I realy like to play it! At first I thougth 300 HP is kinda much, but after a while more and more bullets came down, and I started loosing more and more xD The stuff with the power ups and the breaking layers are is a very good idea. One thing I realised, is that some bullets spawn directly in the left border (You can see the tail of the bullet and you can destroy it, but it is a bit harder) ![Bild_2022-04-04_214330.png](///raw/166/54/z/4acf2.png)

Nice game. Would have liked a little more progression in difficulty where it starts out with only a few bullets and gets more and more as time went on.

This is a great game! It looks good. It sounds good. It feels good. The length/pacing/progression is good. I managed to survive for about 1:20.

I did find a minor bug, though. When you collect an expand powerup while shrinking from a previous expand, you don't expand again. I think every time you collect an expand powerup the expand time should be reset instead.

Who thought getting hit by bullets could be so satisfying? Congrats! Nice idea.

fast & easy to pick up. hard to progress beyond the first 5 seconds (or maybe I'm just really bad at this?) :)

I like this! Fits well with the theme. A bit more variety in the powerups might be nice.

Overall a really well polished minimalistic game - the graphics, ui, text, and music all fit together really well! Good twist on the traditional breakout style of games, would have loved to see some more variety in powerups (eg a speed up powerup, or a heal powerup would be nice to keep the game going a bit longer)
