Snooze by DrSomma

Logo.png "Moin" again and Happy 50th LudumDare!

This time, we play an alarm clock, which task is to wake the human up to go to work. But as you can guess, the human tries to delay that part of the day. Maybe we can prevent him pressing the damn snooze button, if we're quick enough...

Short and sweet, very well polished! The gameplay, controls, and visuals were all very tuned and felt nice. This was a good execution on the tried-and-true speedrunning platformer.

Very classic platformer. I like the graphics (very cute clock) but maybe you could use a "wake up"-sound or something like that.

All in all a funny game. :)

It's a no frills platformer with a nice twist on the formula. I like the animations very much. The punch at the end of every level has a nice feel to it. Fun game.
"Game over" at the end was a bit confusing. I wasn't sure if I won or lost the game.

Fun to play! The controls are simple but good. I really like the parts with the breaking platforms. It would be nice to show the player waking up in the end to emphasize the "inevitable". But still good job!

Pretty fun! Feels like it could have used a coyote jump but otherwise solid control. Sound effects are basic yet effective. Thank you for sharing!

I have passed it to the end, few games have I passed them completely. Seriously, the music and graphics are according to the platforms. I had a lot of fun with this game!

Really well polished classic platformer! Pretty difficult at times- or I'm just bad! Constructive feedback: a more interesting background would have been nice. Good entry!

@applestreet-games yes you're right. We thought about the coyote jump. Maybe we implement it in a post-jam version. We already have buffered jump for improving the jump-feeling.

Nice game! Coyote time is already mentioned above: it would be nice.
And I feel like hitboxes are a bit off the objects: sometimes I feel like I don't touch the thorns but I die, and sometimes I can stand almost overlapping them and it's fine.

It tried speed running this game, lol. Okay great controls, as mentioned by the other, Coyote Jump would have been a great addition, even if it was just a little bit. Also, I think it would have been great if some moving platforms, were timed so that a seamless movement would be possible for each level. Sadly some levels really just had me waiting for the cycle to end. Audio and music was great, the variable music on the jump was a nice addition. And the animation for the clock was just amazing.

This game was really fun and addicting, the animation of the clock together with the controls was just fantastic. Simple and great game. Thank you for submitting!

Solid platformer! I like the squeezing on the jumps, really makes the character feel more alive. Nice to have the times in the levels to improve for replayability, though many levels are dictated by the cycles of moving platforms so there's limited space to optimize. The music is nice as well! Oh, and in the tutorial I pressed R when I saw the tutorial text like a dummy :D

Here's the times I got:
