Last Bastion of Wizardom by Wogabi
You are the last wizard in a world persecuted by the Anti-Wizard League. You're tasked with a fools errand, to protect the final wizard tower from an unending onslaught. How long will you last?
Your spell will equip once you cross the entryway to the Tower
Spend the souls of your vanquished enemies at the top of the tower to heal it or boost the Orb's offensive capabilities.
Made in UE5. This is my very first game ever. Enjoy.

As a bit of a frantic rush to get back up the (very tall) tower hoping I've got enough health to last after capturing souls to heal it kind of worked for me.
Gameplay wise had a rough start as I thought maybe I could not shoot, turned out I was pointing slightly at the ground which seems to prevent shooting. Was a bit confusing.
Ominous orb and voice acting set an atmosphere, a good start. Gets tedious fairly fast though; gameplay needs more mechanics and polish to keep people playing
@lokt02 Sorry, Unreal Engine 5 uses Lumen for lighting which requires a lot of processing power.
@roryh my face lol, I ran it through a cartoon filter.
I loved the gameplay it was very nice. The voice acting/ sounds effects fit the game and created a good sense of atmosphere as well.
A few things I would change, 1. the stair case was a cool idea but a little too much movement for me as a player/spinning creating an unpleasant movement up the tower. The art was okay, I think that more time could have been put into texture work.
Loved the idea of selling should, protecting the tower and having some upgrades. Amazing work :D
I agree with the comments here, climbing the tower felt like a chore and being unable to shoot off of the tower made me sad. But on the other hand you've got a functioning gameplay loop in a functioning game, which is always good! If you continue to work on this, I'd look at adding more variety to both the spells and enemies, and avoid the tedious task of climbing the tower (or at least make it more interesting, if you need the downtime for balance reasons)
