My only criticism is the controls; I find it a bit hard to aim with the mouse while using WASD & Space for Platformer controls (they seem to be fine for FPS games though). I think if the right mouse button could be used to jump I would find it a lot easier to play.
@gord10ahmet Sounds like you were quite good at the game ^^ You only loose if you fall out of the screen. Enemy attacks only stun you :)
@thumpertws thanks a lot! :)
@amkingtrp thanks for playing and thanks for the input :)
Art was nice, enjoyed the 80s She-Ra vibe.
All in all, well-done.
One slight criticism is that aiming felt strange to me because the way your arrows interacted with the scrolling of the stage. It may very well be lack of skill on my part, but I never quite got a handle on where I was supposed to aim to make my arrow go where I wanted, and resorted to just shooting half a dozen arrows near whatever I was aiming at, and hoping that one of them would hit.
Overall though, nice job! :)
Difficulty felt just right, not too hard yet still challenging enough to be fun.
I also think it would be cool to tie the 'rising doom line' mechanic to the theme more, like have there be a dark spell that's rising up at the bottom of the screen so you know that it'll kill you and that it's the wizard's doing.
- I got confused with the first doors, I tried to used them until I got it was just decoration
- Would have been nice for the monsters damage to be harmful for the player so they can lose if receiveing enough damage apart from the level floor. Cause I just ignored the monsters and climbed
- The last 1/2 floors are empty. No monsters, no challenge
Fun little game! The fact that enemies didn't damage you but simply slowed you down was refreshing. Gameplay felt smooth and the graphics were solid. More variety and length could have been appreciated but that applies to nearly any game out there. Great job for a two person team!
It fit the theme very well. It's quite easy to play but I still had a lot of fun.
Good job!
I appreciate that you made the combat very forgiving. The hitboxes on enemies seem quite oversized which is great so that we can focus on platforming, with aiming being a secondary thought.
I actually have no constructive criticism... I think you nailed everything you wanted to do in this submission. Keep up the good work.
-I would had a crouch button tho because sometimes I just couldn't skip the projectiles. Also, maybe an health bar, I didn't die but I didn't know how much health I had.
-Love the jumping and shoting playstyle and the music!
Overall, very good entry.
Spotted at the victory at the end with a question mark.
