The Squeel of Time by Victris Games

Once upon a time, there was a magical pig who could slow-down (but not stop) time. Rumor has it, this pig could even cross a chasm filled with falling lava. But the important question is, why did the pig cross the chasm?
We still haven't figured that out yet.

The funnest part of this gamejam was recording sound effects with my kids, including boiling water in a pan. :)
Created in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 50 game jam.

The highest level my kids have reached is 15, so I guess that might be the "High Score". :)
It's a simple and fun game for a bit, good job
Level 25 ! Good and fun game, I hope a post-mortem version with more.
Simple but really fun! I like how quickly it is to just keep trying again and again and again. I got to level 15, after that I found it a bit too difficult to find a path. It seemed like I had to get lucky for a path to clear up before my slowdown timer ran out. Maybe there's a way to guarantee paths in the future so as to not just "get lucky?"
In any case, well done, had a blast!
While I'm chatting, I wanted to let you know that I have a new version in progress that has two pigs that race to cross the chasm. It will support local multiplayer using controllers, but I might put it on Steam for Remote Play Together (but I don't know if I will be able to make back the $100 publishing fee).
Didn't encounter any bugs and the graphics were very cute. My only point of feedback would be sound design: the squeal with the added echo/verb gets a bit annoying since it's a "die and retry" game. But I also read that you did the sound design with your kids which is super cute and very educative! Nice of you to have taken the time!
(I chose not to rate audio so it won't affect your score negatively)
It took me a while to understand the controls, maybe a tutorial would have been welcome but honestly in the end all the necessary information is present to figure things out and it's not that complicated so I didn't feel frustrated or anything. (Also maybe that info was present on the bottom of the screen but the usual WebGL resolution bugs hid it away from me.
Thanks for making this, and keep on making games :)
I found the game pretty intuitive to figure out in the first few seconds, it played well, and the audio certainly matched the gameplay adding a bit of humour to the game which not every game can pull off. Nice job.
The random generation of the lava sometimes turned the game into an exercise in patience as you had to wait for quite a while in the later levels to get anything traversable, but I'll admit that I'm not sure how else you would go about it. Possibly constructing pre-made sections of lava about a quarter to a third of the screen wide, and then randomly generating groups of those...?
Could have done with some music, but it was fun to play and I enjoyed myself.
Good work!
The first time I triggered the slowdown, I thought it was something bad I had to avoid.
The random generation sometimes meant having to wait ages for an opportunity to cross.
I enjoyed playing. Great work.
