My first Game Jam!

You are the leader of a group of ghosts that attacks a nearby kingdom every night. One night, you forget to attack! The kingdom’s King, sees this as an opportunity to get revenge and attack your fortress! Now you must, with the help of a dragon miner and a ghostling, defend your fortress and destroy theirs!

Dragon miner and ghostling will be included in the post-Ludum Dare updates.

Arrow keys and spacebar to move and fight. WASD also available for the king fight.

This was made using Scratch, and the following tools:

- Piskel: piskelapp.com

It was confusing and wild, but I managed to win.
Congrats on your first game jam!

It makes me feel kind of warm and fuzzy inside to see someone using Scratch for Ludum Dare. It's a bit too glitchy though, and hard to play. If you learn how to use game maker or something, it'll be easier to make a more solid game. Best of luck when it comes to making games.

Very confusing at first... couldn't figure out how to damage the King. Welcome to the Game Jam!

Congrats on your first game jam! Scratch is a pretty good introduction to programming, I hope you enjoyed it!

My favourite part of the game was definitely the audio. The tune wasn't too abrasive, and that "uggghhh" was pretty satisfying.

Great first entry, nice to see Scratch in an LD, too.

Annnd, it's always nice to see first-timers! I hope you take this experience and keep running with it! Lots of other tools out there to take you even further! BEST OF LUCK!

Also, wasd is very difficult to switch to for the king fight, and arrows still work better for me.

I wasn't sure exactly what was happening, or what I was doing. Very confusing.

Defnitely very fast paced, I tried to slow it down, but apparently I didn't do it quite enough.

Congrats on completing and submitting your first jam game! The game is a little rough. I found the audio loop to be a bit jarring and the game itself is confusing, but playable.

I think I lost the first time, but was a bit confused because the game didn't show a "you lose screen". I restarted and managed to beat the king on my second try. Very short game, but it runs, it was pretty fun, and you managed to make multiple enemy types, art, and even music. That's more than can be said for a lot of Ludum Dare entries, so it's pretty dang good for your first game jam!
