Normally I don't care that much for narrative games but this one slaps :cry:
Your game was more of an experience. But what an experience. It really hit me, because i'm a person that often drowns in his own memories and tries to evaluate those who were, but aren't with me anymore.
Best game this jam for me. Hands down.
(this doesn't mean our game isn't worth playing, check it out haha)
I'm also interested in learning the technical details of the visual effects, they were mesmerizing :)
The only complaint is that this game could have more gameplay in it, as I said earlier- it's more of an interactive animation than a game. I love it nevertheless.
Loved the animations and camera work. camera control like that is next on my 'to learn' list. I assume you do something like lerp from current position to desired position?
Well done to everyone on the team!
Your game has not much in terms of gameplay and is not a game you're going to return, but it makes people stop for the moment and just think about their lives, their memories, people they met, and people that helped them along the way.
It made me think about few people I've met during my life. It made me remember some things, be it happy or not.
Music is really good. It makes mood in your "interactive story" really good.
Also idea to visualize that everyone we meet during our life become part of us. No matter if they are still alive or not, our memories of them are still alive.
This is so far best entry in terms of story. Thank you for making that during this Ludum Dare.
Having the full poem in the credits would have made a nice touch to tie the loop, to further think back and recall the people we met.
