Defense of the Immortal Wizard by crab8012

made by crab8012 for Ludum Dare 50 (JAM)

Defense of the Immortal Wizard is a first-person tower defense game. Enemies are constantly spawning to attack the surrounding towns. Be careful! Once a town falls, the enemies that were attacking it are now targeting your wizard tower, which contains the source of your immortality. If your wizard tower falls, then all is lost.

Loved the huge world size and the subsequent teleport mechanic. I wish the tutorial was a little more in-depth because it felt like my towers weren't doing anything - but it could've just been that the mechanic wasn't finished in time. All in all, respectable work - I'd love to see more of this concept in the future!

Dudes! This game is really cool! Like yeah the towers didn't work, but there's something to be said about the idea and the scope. It's like a prototype of the game I always wanted as a child. An army of minions from the distance coming at me in 3D! I love the blockyness, they were almost trying to fit together like puzzle pieces to become more powerful. Wonderful stuff.

Are the towers not working?

I could build green cubes, but they never shot or appeared to damage the red cubes in any way.

I could collect Hide from a yellow cube thing, but wasn't sure what to do with it!
