Falling Stars by Lomna

[raw]
made by Lomna for Ludum Dare 50 (COMPO)

The asteroid belt has lost stability. End is nigh, the only thing that can be done is to delay the inevitable. Use carbon shields and metallic collectors to preserve life on earth as long as you can.

This is my first project in Godot. I have been messing with it for a few weeks now, but this was like a big test for me. I think the game is very close to my initial idea. I loved using Godot. It has more support for 2D than the previous engines I used so I will stick with it from now on :)

This is a good concept. I like the game overall. Good job keeping the instructions so visible. I think that is helpful in figuring out the game. The graphics and sounds worked well for the game and timeframe.

Great job making a game in 48 hours!

Nice small chaotic game, love it! The controls are layed out very good, and the graphics are fun and retro! A view thoughts:

- The introtext was red on a bright blue background, it hurt my eyes a bit reading it
- The game was nicely pased, first a view astroids and later on just chaos! Love it!
- The sound effects are satisfying, though the game could use a little music.

Whoa, that brings me back memories. My first game was a TD from meteors just like this one!

Nice compo entry, I would like there to be more variety or progress in the building, but its still an enjoyable game. well done.

Great effort and nice game!
My only feedback will be on the red text in the beginning. It was really hard to read. Maybe you can use colors with more contrast next time.
Thanks for the game!

Fun idea and execution. The only problem I had was that I couldn't place collectors sometimes and I'm unsure as to why. Good going though!

To the record: my best score is 2020 :) That's a well done simple concept! And a fun one to play:) Looks like it can be even more simple, because I'm not sure why there are 2 different types of resources - I think the concept should work just fine with 1. Liked the soundeffects. Overall - great job!

Fun little game. I liked the sounds and having different kinds of asteroids and resources, could really expand on it and become some sort of mobile game with upgrades and powerups.

One thing I had tho is that sometimes my A and D didn't seem to respond and I had to press several times. I was playing on Chrome.
