Cool take, a bit difficult might make the 1st area a tad bit easier. I kept getting smoked.

Game has nice difficulty curve. First and Second level didn’t take much time but third level took couple of time to complete. Unfortunately I didn't complete last level, too difficult for me. Overall great level design. :sparkles:

Managed to beat the first level after a lot of tries but haven't been able to finish the other ones yet. Really fun and challenging platformer. Having 4 levels in a LD game is quite an achievement, and the corruption effect is super cool.

Not bad at all. Reminds me of a small platformer I made many years ago. The chasing liquid whatever thing is super cool looking. I love how it speeds up at some points--I got really splattered by it. Good entry!

This was fun! I liked your take on the theme. My main nit in the gameplay area is that the dark part in the fourth level felt a bit unfair, as I could no longer see where I was going. That may just be my screen being too dark, though.

Also, it would have been nice to get some sort of victory message after completing the last level. :)

Like @inanimatecarbonrod said, the corruption effect was really pretty. Maybe try to pixelate it so it fits in more with the rest of the graphics?

honestly I thought the game balance was pretty well done even though it was hard. However as I'm repeating the level, the audio making the same exact sounds became very noticeable, a simple subtle randomizer for the SFX and adding some music could have made it really stand out and help people play it over and over.

Nice one. The gfx were nice and had a good ambience to them. I especially liked the character exploding haha
Having an easier learning curve at the start would help get players invested as they master the basics, but overall a pretty good entry!

The rotating platform is really clever, also think the shaders are really cool, and nice animations for the player.

Nice, simple game. I agree with the people that said the first level was maybe a bit hard for beginners. The mood was on point, I was genuinely afraid of the corruption.

The graphics, the bodily explosion of the player when taking damage, and the sound really sell the mood of this game. As has been mentioned, the level design is not intuitive and seems to require that the player knows everything coming up in order to be successful. More focus on developing levels that ease the player into the gameplay could go a long was to making this entry into something with broader appeal. Overall, great job!

The corruption was a really cool effect, I was wondering how you made it the whole time.

Major criticism is that this game absolutely needs a variable jump (jump that changes depending on how long you hold the button), or at least a much less floaty one. I'm almost wondering if the jump is frame-rate-dependent and my computer is running it differently than yours, because it felt like I was in the air for so long that some earlier maneuvers were borderline impossible.

I was definitely interested enough in the premise and atmosphere to want to play longer than I did. Unfortunately I had to give it up somewhat quickly, though, because precision platforming is really difficult without a concise, controllable jump.

The corruption effect was really cool.
Although you should have zoom on the character and made the clocks bigger.

Very enjoyable. but couldn't complete level 4 as I kept getting stuck on the edge of the spikes. Essential to play with a controller! A very nice idea and not really that difficult once you work it out. Great job.

For me the flashing on death was harsh on my brain, would be nice to give some warnings for those who are sensitive. I did really like the wall effect you achieved and the cool particles on death.

Really fun platformer! There was a bit of a delay to the controls for me, but the levels require more proactive play so it was still quite satisfying to learn the levels. The first one was definitely the hardest. The mood is also conveyed well through the audio design and visuals. Good work!
