Played a bunch of levels and had a good time until I think I accidentally glitched a garbage bag out of the map and couldn't proceed.
I really like the artstyle by the way, it's a nice blend of stylized and realistic.
one very minor nit - pretty sure bananas are bio-degradable ;p
I did think it was strange at first that you could move the trash through the bottom and sides. That was annoying and I started to avoid it. It did add to the ways you could stack and I began to leverage it later so maybe not a bad thing in the end. Design choice.
Great job making a fun game with a message in 48 hours!
The visuals are really cool and you created quite a few different items. The music and sound effects are really nice too.
I think you should spend more time to make the objectives more clear. Of course the goal of the game is pretty clear, but sometimes it didn't start the countdown for a reason that I didn't understand. So I tried to move things around a bit, and then the timer started. Was it a bug or was it too high in the first place? I don't know...
The idea of telling the player how to start playing using the same mechanic as the one that will be used in the game is awesome!
Very good for a first entry, nice job!
Apart from some issues with collisions, the game plays well and the graphics and audio are really good. Just as @stasm and @rolly say, the implementation of the tutorial is effective and elegant.
Kudos on your first submission!
It might also be fun to keep the momentum the trash has when the player releases it. Then, you could fling it into the can and try to go fast... But maybe that ends up being a different game.
Either way, nice work!
