Actual review:
The game is visually pleasing. Art is done really well and looks great well done.
The game was also very fun (though the game play loop draws it out a bit)
Music: It is really got some bangers that put me in the monkey mood. (However, whoever made the monkey noises scared the sh*t outta me)
Humor: Monkey
Theme: A bit standard with the theme, but more or less not bad
Overall: A fun game and a good submission. Well done!

I have a lot of fun, the story is fun, the design are realy nice, the sound of the monkeys comming are just epic. I really had a good time. Even if I died inevitably
@jcmonkey Thanks for the feedback, greatly appreciated! Adding some randomization to the monkey's walk speed is a good idea which would've been a simple addition! We did add some randomization to their delays while roaming, but you're completely right that they get a bit clustered once they're on the chase.
@jamjamix Thanks, glad you had fun, and thanks for the feedback! The damage indication is a good note, as it can be hard to see with all the monkeys on screen.

Good Art
Good Music
Good Game
And more importantly... reject humanity, return to monke
@100th-coin @thenerdster @mrevilguy Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!
@6smith Apes together... strong. :monkey_face:
For me personally, initially it was difficult to understand what I was supposed to be doing as I was just running around, only then did I find the arena! Is there a way we can get out of it or is it just to see how long we survive? I wanted to know if we could somehow get to the monkey guarding the golden door?
Another suggestion would be the ability to start the game a little faster as each time you are made to sit through the initial cut scene which imo takes quiet some time :3
I survived until 53 in the arena :3 pretty proud of myself for that! Great work everyone! A very fun and polished product here!!
The gameplay mechanics are very polished and well-done, and every action feels purposeful. Overall, everything comes together and gives a feeling of adrenaline pumping through your veins as you avoid an onslaught of monkeys. It, in fact, did so well that when about 12 monkeys dove for me all at once, I accidentally breathed while swallowing the monkey I was drinking. I proceeded to choke on water while repeatedly panic rolling (and then died 10 seconds later). Thanks for that.
Overall, amazing job!
However, rolling diagonally is super OP, it's twice as fast and it covers double the distance of normal rolling, making the juking of monkeys very trivial. Maybe you'd want to take a look at that o:
Overall, I had fun, good job!
I'll admit that I feel a bit lost as to why this manor is inevitable, but you gotta love some monkey banana humour.
Pretty solid work for a game made in the short length of a jam!
I love this game, it's fun!!
Very cute art style! I would have loved to play with a controller. Nice job!
I enjoyed the end survival game but it would be cool if there were more setup to tell you that's what it was. It sort of tricks you by presenting you different routes and levels and you expect that to go on, or expect there to be some sort of consequence to choosing a certain path, but then the game just ends and your temple journey is over. I think it could have worked better as an endless dungeon crawler, where the goal is to get deeper and deeper into the temple!
Overall though it was a crazy, fun experience, nice one guys :)
