I love the way the player and the monsters look in this game. The idea is pretty good and the difficulty appears to increase as you progress, which is nice. I did have some issues where the monsters spawn right in your face when you collect the star, which makes it impossible to survive.

Otherwise though, good job. It's impressive that you managed to make this within such a short time of learning Godot. I remember having lots of difficulties learning it when I tried Godot for the first time.

if the monster spawn on you it was "inevitable" :joy:

Hi, impressive for so little time invested in the engine, good job! What I would suggest is that you could make sure that monsters won't spawn so randomly, because one time it spawned right on top of me, so I was instantly dead :)

Surprisingly difficult! I think this could work well with some sort of endless mode!

Congratulation on your first game in Ludum Dare and welcome to the community! Cool art style and not bad game mechanic. My only suggestion would be to spawn the monster at some distance from a player, since sometimes they spawn on top of the player, ending the game instantaneously (or maybe that was intended? You never know with this theme :P ). Nice job with the game!
