You find yourself in a strange dungeon, with an inventory full of blood. Venture as deep into the dungeon as you can before your luck runs out...

Attacking costs one drop of blood. Moving will cause one drop of blood to leak away.

Really neat game! It took me a minute to figure out controls as I don't think they're listed anywhere in-game, but I like the concept and am a big fan of the art :)

Very interesting concept, i like it. What are the blue thing (swords and so) and the green mushrooms doing?

@phoenixofforce Swords can be used to attack without expending them, mushrooms behave like blood except at the end of every level each mushroom tile increases by 1, so they heal slowly. You can see the descriptions for all the items on the help page.

You could call this game done and it wouldn't feel premature. I actually played this for quite a while and enjoyed it. It feels very polished and I love the risk-management gameplay.

The mechanism is simple and elegant. Great approach to the theme in a limited time.

I really love the creative ideas here. The ground losing pips every time something happens on it is a super cool idea, and I love how it ties in to the theme. The art is minimalistic, and is very easy to read (plus the color palette is nice too!). I wish there was some audio, but it's fine without it. All around, this is a super cool game!

Very cool and new concept. I really need to learn more cause there are some unexplained cases of defeat.
But it's fun game nonetheless. Might replay it again sometime.

Very original concept, I really liked it. Adding some sound would make the game even better!

I played this game and I loved:
- thinking what the hell is going on and then realizing you can freely place gifts on the grid; totally opens up the possibilities of the gameplay
- returning to the game the next day

I could as well be good without:
- that blinking black rectangle in the top left corner - what a jerk

@bloodbane Thanks for the feedback! Do you have an idea of what the unexplained cases are? There should only be two cases of defeat 1) You can't make any legal moves 2) You run out of vital items (red border). If there is some other case it's definitely a bug and I would love to know more.

@lootgrounds Interesting to hear about the gifts. It's not something we had considered, but your confusion makes sense the UI there could definitely be improved to make that clearer. I'm not aware of any blinking black rectangle. It could be a platform specific graphical issue (or maybe I'm missing something) if you could include a screenshot or perhaps what browser you are using I'd be happy to investigate and push a fixed build.

Elegant, simple, new, effective : what's not to like? Each level is its own puzzle to solve, using mechanics that force you to think in unusual ways.

Only criticism I could find is that level generation can screw you however you prepare, in a way that feel gratuitous and unfair. Some amount of control over the level generation, perhaps, could solve this?

Thank you for a great game!

The visual is really cool and convey all information quickly ! It takes a little time to understand the game completely (maybe a little too much for a jam game?) but it work great after that!

I still find the game lacking a level of "what make you want to go deeper?" but it's really neat picking at this state : your game is already really cool and fun! And mix elegantly reflexion and rogue like, in a fun way. Congrats!
