Stellarium Charting by Jason200101
Stars, galaxies, entire constellations are dying. Take fate into your hands, and chart a new constellation, trying to prevent it from inevitably fading away into the void.
Code - Art - Some sound effects: Glitched Json
Background music by KevinMacLeod (incompetch.com): Lift Motif, Rising Game
The graphics were made using Krita and Aseprite.
The sound effects that I did make were made using my microphone and paper. (high tech I know)
The game was built using my own engine in java. As such, it supports windows, linux, and mac.

By far the best part was the particles. I loved making cool collages and throwing my galaxy around :)

@zimny11 nope, no secret ending or anything. It's inevitable that you'll lose. Just a high score number if anything. as for the chart... it does nothing during the game. it's just a reset mechanism for after the nebula dies out. should probably have hidden that to not confuse people so much.
@fromage you're not the only one, this idea just isn't working for a game. I'll probably turn it into a constellation charting tool or something. The idea of a goal doesn't work in this instance...
@exevirus controls and such were not explained clearly sadly, and even after they were to some of my friends it still felt like that. I'll remove the gameplay aspect of it in future versions and just transform it into a drawing tool or something.
Thanks for trying it out everyone, even if the actual game part of it is nonexistent
1. Your own engine
2. Really cool looking
3. Had great mood points in my book
4. Had a fun interface with the cards idea that you drag around.
5. innovative particle connection stuff. I think you could make it into a game, it's just you need to ask for some inspiration from friends and admirers for ideas I think.
I hard a bit of a hard time figuring out how to make the constellation last longer, so the game loop was a bit lacking, but I think with better feedback for players actions affect what's going on could make this more fun to play with.
I enjoyed the UI a lot, it reminded me of papers please which is a game I am terrible at. Interacting with the objects in such a way adds a lot of immersion into the game.
