Great music and graphics! I played for almost 25 minutes and it lasted quite a while! A change in the land sprite when it was hit (or a different sound) would be nice, sometimes I missed it but I didn't know why.

Congratulations!

This goes from a difficult survival challenge to a full on power fantasy! I love it!

Nice! Movement and shooting feels just right. Gets super hectic late in...

Amusing aside but you can continue playing when the game over screen is up

Fun game! Not to be rude, but the graphics kinda hinder the fun. Mainly because all the pixels in the images are different sizes, so everything looks kinda out of place. Another thing, is the shooting sound effect get's a little annoying after a while. I would suggest randomly changing the pitch of the sound each time you play it, so it sounds a little different each time.

@roryh Let's say being able to play when the game over screen is up is a feature and definitely not a bug :) Thanks for playing!

Although there was no dinosaur to be seen in this game, it was nice to know I did something to make them live a little longer! Game was classic space shooter just the way I enjoy them the most. Great job!

pew pew pew x5000 love it. The upgrades felt so good. Only wanted more upgrades so it could keep getting more ridiculous. But I loved what you had. Each speed upgrade gave me a good laugh and rush of excitement. Thanks for making with and sharing with us. cheers!

@aarimous Yeah I wish I could have added more powerups, but I ran out of time. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Really dig the aesthetic, it's cute and the sound effects fit in well, though I agree with @eboatwright about the pitch variation. It would be cool to see a bit more of an upgrade tree where certain upgrades are mutually exclusive, in a future update.

@anonymouspanda I was gonna add a cut scene with dinosaurs, but ran out of time. I tried making the ship look like a triceratops with three horns, but it didn't really translate well into pixel art. Thanks for playing!

I enjoyed playing it. Especially after the game was over - then it turned into a zen shooter - just hold the mouse button and watch everything explodes :D

I had one issue with the UI when playing fullscreen (2560x1440). It's better to anchor the side UI elements to border of the canvas instead of the center (deafult).

Its a shame I couldn't save all the dinosaurs, might be helpful if selecting the upgrades was in a pause state.

Good game, especially after the inevitable 'Game Over' overlay popped up. Somehow my powerups felt more powerful when playing in the Game Over mode.

Fits the theme too.

Very fun game. I really enjoy it.
The game fits the theme very well and the sound is simple, but not bad.
Nice work.

Nice game, easy and interesting! Could you add "restart a game" button/option when we fail ?

Great game! I really like the fact that you can continue playing after the game is "over", I destroyed a whole bunch of asteroids after that!

This feels like a mix of Asteroids and Pang, very nice creation. I like that you get straight to the game, put all your instructions and buttons on one screen and off we go. This is very pragmatic and I like it. Perfect for a jam game.

The music and sound effects were nice, too, the music could have been a little darker, more destruction-of-the-earth-like. This music gives the game a nice and light feel so this is not a big thing, I like the music.

The best part is the level-upping of the weapons. I always like these in games and at the end you feel pretty powerful with your fast and wide triple bullet hell gun.

Overall a great game, nice job, very well done! I am looking forward to your future creations! :v:

Very fun and catchy game! Keep you on your toes and the controls although sometimes to floaty they are good enough to chase those pesky rocks. My recommendation is to add some power ups that spawn sporadically that will allow you to boost your speed, explode all rocks in the screen or stronger bullets. The power ups only last for a few seconds. It would give you more change to get more skill points.

Haha, what an entry! At first I was flying around stressed trying to get the asteroids. Then I realised that I can just shoot through everything so I stood in one place. It was fun :D
