Ludum Dare 50 by Dilem

[raw]
made by Dilem for Ludum Dare 50 (COMPO)

In the game you have to perform different simple tasks to delay the inevitable for as long as you can. The game gets more intense the longer it goes on. Use mouse to interact with the elements. Good luck.

Gotta up my clicking skills. Interesting way to delay the inevitable. Only made it 26 years. I could see death pause, but would have liked to see a little more feedback when delaying death. Having him flash, a sound when you finish a task or something similar would be nice. However overall I enjoyed it.

Wow, when I started playing I thought "the result that comes out in this game is how long will I live"... well, I died in the game at 16, and I'm 28, so something wrong is not right. lol

The use of tasks was super creative, and the curtain animation was super cool and creates a beautiful ambiance.

Congratulations!

PS: Your project name is with the Jam name, not the game name.

@thumpertws that's a very good point, thank you for feedback. I thought that people would be too preoccupied by the tasks to worry about exactly how much they are delaying it by, but I think I should have still put something in

@very-bad-bunny-studio thanks for the feedback, yeah I wasn't sure what to call it, so went with something pretentious

the tasks using unity's UI was very smart, it's a very creative game to say the least, congrats :=)

I absolutely love the paper cutout style! I would love to see more games that look like this. Also, the tasks were creative and super challenging! My best was 42 years.

Very cool and unconventional idea. Fun reaction tester, I feel like I could do this as brain training :D Well done!

Simple but engaging, click click click! Was interesting puzzling out exactly what each area-type wanted to have done to it, on the fly. Sort of like solo SpaceTeam!

Quite interesting art style, the music really sets the mood, and the gameplay was pretty creative! Good Job!

Fun little game, for whatever reason the checkboxes threw me completely off the first time through. Made it to just short of 50 years, no idea how people are able to get higher than that, completely nuts. Good work!

The art at the top was super cute. Very creative to have it set up as some sort of puppet theatre. It works really well for the game.

Seeing the scores of others I am really bad at this game XD (24 years was my best).

I liked graphics and execution. The gameplay is frenetic and fun.

Surprisingly stressful. I had to play it a few times before I really understood the gist of it, but it ended up being pretty self explanatory. Good job!

That's a fun concept !
I made 80 years and two month but I cheated : I have a tactile screen on my laptop. It was more fun on my second run with tactile than with a mouse because I tried to do stuff in parallel. So I came to conclusion that it would be wonderful to have a game like this on tablet.

Haha, this could be a nice minigame for some wario ware style thing :D
Nice UI elements!

That's a funny concept! Don't even have much to add, so just going to point some issues I had:

1. the game screen didin't fit my browser or scaled, even on fullscreen, I fixed it by zooming out the page on chrome (my resolution is 1366x768).

And 2. most button groups have a weird white frame as soon as I finish them, before they flip and disappear, maybe it's a problem with the sprites, don't know.

Anyways, had fun, cool game really.
