This game is finished. My first attempt at the 48 hr COMPO. Full source code is included.

Description

You are a nuclear scientist working on the ENTROPY ENGINE - a revolutionary new reactor that can generate limitless energy for humanity. The only catch is, it's unstable. Given enough time, the radioactive particles emitted by this engine will eat through the walls of the reactor.

Using your arrow keys, control the gravity within the reactor by matching the colored particles to the same colored control blocks. Be careful though, as two like colored particles will cancel each other out!

Instructions: - Use the arrow keys to control gravity. - Match colored particles to the receiver blocks (marked with +). - Level objectives are marked on the upper right corner. - Like colored balls will cancel each other out and may lead to inability to stop the reaction.

Cool concept! Very tricky but feels very rewarding when you get it right. Also, cool desk drumming. Solid entry!

The gameplay is really fun and I had fun trying the game. But it got really difficult a bit too fast for me. The visuals is good, and the finger drumming is great. Overall a good compo game. Well done.

Cool idea! Feels like it would be the perfect game to play with an analog stick!

Oh god! So hard! Or maybe I'm just bad at puzzle games. I'm gonna keep at it though and try to win!

Overall really cool game, it works really well and is very fun to play. It probably took quite a bit of tinkering to get the whole system working correctly. I really like having to juggle all these little orbs without being able to directly interact with them. And I suppose the theme is being made to good use as well, what with the orbs destroying platforms each time they bounce, they'll eventually fall unless you complete the level. Overall it's a very innovative little puzzle game, I liked it a lot.

Solid gameplay here! The struggle to control the balls really fit with them being particles. The music made me smile, so simple yet so effective.

The desk drumming makes this all the more relatable!

Was a bit confused at first, but I think I figured it out. Loved your 'music' was actually quite nice.
I think it was quite a unique idea for a puzzle, at least I haven't seen anything exactly like that before, so kudos for that.
Oh also, the wind particles; although they were fairly simple they were quite beautiful - Well done.

Thanks for sharing your game.

fun game that's pretty easy to understand but easy to get yourself into trouble, if you're not careful and sometimes even if you are! finger drumming was funny but almost took away from the enviroment, would've loved some technoy type music for this one

Played it for way longer than most jam games. Got a bit frustrated on the face-level, and after a good number of tries i gave up. Simple and solid game!

Well done!

Fun game! Took a little bit of getting used to controlling the gravity itself and not the speed of the particles, but I was able to pick up on it eventually. Good job for your first 48 hour Ludum Dare title!

Cool idea, was very fun doing the puzzles, however I found the music drumming very distracting to listen to.

HAHAHA this music idea is great! I love it. Awesome concept for logic game, but I don't see the theme here. I wish you could press next stage button with keyboard, because mouse is not used here at all. Overall good game with fun mechanic.

What a great concept! I played the first level and although I enjoyed the movement physics I was like "what's the point, just hit the special box?" Then level 2 arrived and I was all "ooooooooh! brilliant!" Very good concept. Also the drumming was wonderful. How did you do it? Just hands on the table with a cell phone microphone?

Nice idea. It's finely balanced between being a puzzle game and a physics game. Well done! The music needs improvement  But other than that this game has real potential!

This was so much fun! My wrist is cramping a little bit, but it was just so good. That last level had me hating green, but I got it! It is a very clever idea, and the levels were well designed. The music had the right level of urgency too it also; it fit nicely. Great job all around.

A simple but challenging title! I think it's got the perfect scope for a compo game. Great job! I do wish that the level was a little scaled up and didn't leave so much empty space around the edge of the screen in the early levels.

The game was fun and I love the story you came up with! The physics was really neat. Awesome job on your first compo!!

Dude, 10/10 for soundtrack. That was a brilliant idea for music. Definitely borrowing for my next work :D Game was very well implemented. The flight of the balls felt very nice and really good to look at. The randomness of the whole experience can get frustrating in the later levels, but very good game! Maybe theme feels a bit weak.
